Montenegrin Men's Handball Cup
The Montenegrin Men's Handball Cup ( Montenegrin: Rukometni Kup Crne Gore) is an elimination handball tournament held annually. It is the second most important national title in Montenegrin handball after the Montenegrin First League. It has been held annually since Montenegrin independence in 2006. History Montenegrin clubs in Yugoslav Cup Before Montenegrin independence, clubs from that Republic played in national handball Cup of Yugoslavia / Serbia and Montenegro. Most successful was RK Lovćen with two trophies won. First significant success at that time made RK Mornar, who played in Yugoslav Cup 1994-95 finals, but lost against RK Crvena zvezda. Two years later, another Montenegrin team played in the final of Yugoslav Cup - RK Lovćen, but they were defeated against RK Partizan (''39-36; 21-30''). Tivat
Tivat (, ) is a coastal town in southwest Montenegro, located in the Bay of Kotor. , its population was 9,367. Rukometni klub Ulcinj is a Montenegrin handball club based in Ulcinj, that plays in Montenegrin First League. History During the past, RK Ulcinj was a member of lowest competitions in Montenegro. But, during the first half of the 80's, club was dissolved. Almost three decades after that, at the 2010, the club was reactivated. RK Rudar Pljevlja
Rukometni klub Rudar is a Montenegrin handball club from Pljevlja, that plays in Montenegrin First Handball League. History Formed in 1957, RK Rudar was one of the leading Montenegrin handball clubs in SFR Yugoslavia. It was the first Montenegrin handball club which participated in Yugoslav First League, during the season 1964/65. After the breakup of SFR Yugoslavia, RK Rudar was renamed into ''RK Pljevlja'' and during the decade played in the Second League - 'West'. Because in Pljevlja didn't exist a big sports hall, club played their home games in Podgorica, Nikšić, Berane, Tivat, Priboj or Užice. At the start of 21st century, in 2001, in Pljevlja was built Sports hall Ada, with capacity of 3,000 seats. RK Mojkovac
Rukometni klub Brskovo is a Montenegrin handball club from Mojkovac, that plays in Montenegrin First League. RK Mojkovac is former champion of Montenegro. History The club was formed during the 60's as ''RK Brskovo''. In SFR Yugoslavia, Brskovo played mostly in the Montenegrin Republic League, with few seasons in the Second League - 'West'. After the breakup of SFR Yugoslavia, Brskovo became the participant of the First Handball League of FR Yugoslavia, but only for one season - 1992/93. In the next years, the club participated in the Second League, but with the 21st century it was relegated, and in 2004 completely dissolved. The re-formation of the club, under the name RK Mojkovac, started with the Montenegrin independence. RK Budućnost ( Cyrillic: PК Будућност) is a handball club from Podgorica, Montenegro, which was champion of Montenegro for the two times. It is a part of Budućnost sport society. History During the most of their history, Budućnost played in the Second Yugoslav League. In the shadow of successful Women's handball team Budućnost, they played only two seasons in the First League during the SFR Yugoslavia and FR Yugoslavia era. Successful period in the Budućnost history started after the Montenegrin independence. Budućnost became champion of the Second League 2006/07 and gets promotion to the First League. HS Cepelin was founded 25 December 1995 in Cetinje, Montenegro. For its first 15 years of existence, 1030 boys and girls passed through HS Cepelin. Rukometni klub Berane is a handball club from Berane, Montenegro. RK Berane is former champion of Montenegro. History RK Berane was formed in 1949, under the name ''ORK Ivangrad''. For the first time in history, Berane gained promotion to the First League at the 1995, under the name ''Raj Banka''.
