''Monster Bash'' (called ''Graveyard'' during development) is a side-scrolling platform game developed and published by Apogee Software on 9 April 1993 for DOS. The game features 16-color EGA graphics and IMF AdLib compatible music. It was developed by Frank Maddin and Gerald Lindsly. The game is divided into three episodes. The first episode of the game is available to download under a shareware license, but the two remaining parts of the game must be purchased. The registered game also removes advertisements and reminders of the benefits of purchasing the games from the first episode and enables cheat code functionality. The game was re-released in 2014 on GOG.com with support for Windows, macOS, and Linux. In 2021, a remaster of the game developed by Emberheart Games titled 'Monster Bash HD' was released on Steam and GOG.com. ''Monster Bash'' is a pinball machine produced by Williams. The game features some Universal Monsters including The Creature from the Black Lagoon, The Wolf Man, Frankenstein's monster, the Bride of Frankenstein, Dracula and The Mummy. Description The main goal of the game is to collect the instruments of the iconic horror characters and form the ''Monsters of Rock'' band. The table includes a ''Phantom Flip''; when this feature is enabled, the player can let go of the flipper buttons and allow the game to attempt a shot. The machine has an easter egg mode called “''Lyman’s Lament''”. It features different music and comments of programmer Lyman Sheats while the ball is played. The game uses the DCS Sound System. Ghost House (video Game)
is a side-scrolling horror-action video game developed and published by Sega, released for the Master System in 1986. ''Ghost House'' is loosely based on Sega's 1982 arcade game, ''Monster Bash''. The game was originally released in the short-lived Sega Card format, but was re-released on cartridge. Plot The player controls Mick, a young vampire hunter out to destroy five vampires (or "Draculas" as the instruction book calls them) in each stage before proceeding to the next. In later levels Draculas may re-spawn. Everything is out to stop Mick from completing this task and making his way out of the mansion. The player has to punch or jump on enemies to defeat them. Arrows fly from either direction after Mick passes a fireplace and will attempt to hit him, and he must either duck or jump on them for extra points and eventually gain invincibility as per the amount jumped on (25). Bash Brothers
The Bash Brothers are a duo of former baseball players consisting of Jose Canseco and Mark McGwire. Both prolific home run hitters, the two were teammates in Major League Baseball (MLB) for seven seasons with the Oakland Athletics, helping the team win a World Series title in 1989. The two began celebrating homers by bashing each other's forearms, which spawned a marketing campaign that was a takeoff on The Blues Brothers. After retiring from playing, Canseco and McGwire both admitted to using anabolic steroids during their careers. Background Canseco was drafted by the Oakland A's in the 15th round of the 1982 MLB Draft. He did not become a legitimate power hitter until he began weightlifting in late 1984 and gained of muscle. In 1985 he jumped from AA to AAA to the major leagues, and batted .300 at each level. In 29 games with Oakland that season, he batted .302 with five home runs (HR) and 13 runs batted in (RBI), and hit a combined 41 home runs with 140 RBI at all level ...
