"Money in the Bank" is a song by American hip hop recording artist and record producer Swizz Beatz, released May 29, 2007 as the second single from his debut studio album ''One Man Band Man'' (2007). The song contains an interpolation to essentially a whole verse from Eric B & Rakim's song " Eric B. Is President." The song was also featured in the final dance sequence in the 2008 film '' Step Up 2 the Streets''. Music video The music video, directed by Syndrome, premiered on BET's ''106 & Park'' on August 1, 2007. Kasseem Daoud Dean (born September 13, 1978), known professionally as Swizz Beatz, is an American record producer, rapper, disc jockey (DJ) and songwriter. Born and raised in New York City, Dean embarked on his musical career as a DJ. At the age of 18, he started to gain recognition in the hip hop industry through his family's record label, Ruff Ryders, as well as his friendship and work with East Coast rapper DMX. Working with DMX as his producer, DJ and hype man, helped Dean gain prominence as a high-profile personality in hip hop. Dean later found a protégé in Philadelphia-based rapper Cassidy, whose success helped the launch of his own label imprint, Full Surface, in 2001. Oneal Bryan (born 1975), better known by his stage name Elephant Man, is a Jamaican dancehall musician, having formerly been a member of the dancehall group Scare Dem Crew prior to his solo career.
