Money And Celebrity
''Money and Celebrity'' is the third studio album by English rock trio The Subways, produced by Stephen Street. It was released on 18 September 2011. The making of the album was fan funded with fans pledging on exclusive offers made by the band through their PledgeMusic campaign. A percentage of money made was donated to charity (Clic Sargent) and the online updates meant the band discussed artwork designs and tracks directly with their fans as the album was put together. Pledges included "Gold passes" to every show the band played, exclusive acoustic performances, signed lyric sheets, limited run T-shirt designs and many more. The album was then licensed to Warner for Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Poland and Japan and label services provided by Cooking Vinyl for the UK and ROW. The Subways
The Subways is an English rock band from Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire. Formed in 2002, the band consists of Billy Lunn (lead vocals, guitar), Charlotte Cooper (bass guitar, lead vocals), and Camille Phillips (drums). Founding-drummer Josh Morgan left the band for personal reasons in October 2020. The Subways's debut album, '' Young for Eternity'', was released on 4 July 2005 in the UK and 14 February 2006 in the U.S. Their second album, '' All or nothing'', was released on 30 June 2008 and their third album ''Money and Celebrity'' debuted on 19 September 2011. The band's self-titled fourth album was released on 9 February 2015. Jason Perry (born 29 December 1969) is an English record producer and singer/songwriter. He is the lead vocalist of the Suffolk based band alternative rock 'A'. He has an identical twin brother, Adam, and a younger brother, Giles, both of whom are also members of the band. The Official Albums Chart is a list of albums ranked by physical and digital sales and (from March 2015) audio streaming in the United Kingdom. It was published for the first time on 22 July 1956 and is compiled every week by the Official Charts Company (OCC) on Fridays (previously Sundays). It is broadcast on BBC Radio 1 (top 5) and found on the OCC website as a Top 100 or on UKChartsPlus as a Top 200, with positions continuing until all sales have been tracked in data only available to industry insiders. However, even though number 100 was classed as a hit album (as in the case of The Guinness Book of British Hit Albums) in the 1980s until January 1989, since the compilations were removed this definition was changed to Top 75 with follow-up books such as The Virgin Book of British Hit Albums book only including this data. PledgeMusic was an online direct-to-fan music platform, launched in August 2009. It was started to facilitate musicians looking to pre-sell, market, and distribute projects; such as recordings and concerts. It bore similarities to other artist payment platforms as ArtistShare, Kickstarter, Indiegogo, Patreon, RocketHub and Sellaband. The company announced it was facing bankruptcy in May 2019, after a year of artists reporting slow payment problems. The company was granted permission to wind up on August 19, 2019. ''All or Nothing'' is the second studio album by English rock trio The Subways and was released on 30 June 2008. Recorded in Conway Studios in Los Angeles by producer Butch Vig, the album was preceded by the release of two singles: "Girls & Boys", released 27 March 2008, and available as a free download, and "Alright", released 16 June 2008. History Songs such as "Kalifornia" and "Shake! Shake!" had been played as early as 2004 / 2005. More recently, songs such as "Girls & Boys", "Alright", "Obsession", "Turnaround" and "I Won't Let You Down" were played at gigs and festivals throughout 2007 and early 2008.
