"Money" is a song written by Lasse Anderson and performed by Elin Lanto at Melodifestivalen 2007. The song participated in the semifinal in Jönköping before reaching Andra chansen, where it was knocked out of the contest. The single peaked at 16th position at the Swedish singles chart. Elin Lanto
Elin Lanto (born 22 July 1984) is a Swedish singer who has had several hits in her Sweden, home country, including the number one "I Won't Cry." Lanto came to further prominence after her performance of her song "Money (Elin Lanto song), Money" in Melodifestivalen 2007. She also took part in Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010, Melodifestivalen 2010 with "Doctor Doctor". In 2009, Lanto made her US debut by releasing the single "Discotheque" on the American iTunes Store, also featuring a new remix by Jonas von de Burg. On 1 March 2009 "Discotheque" was featured on Showtime (TV network), Showtime's ''The L Word''. Melodifestivalen 2007 was the selection for the 47th song to represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest. It was the 46th time that this system of picking a song has been used. Five heats took place to select the ten songs for the final, in Jönköping, Gothenburg, Örnsköldsvik, Gävle and a Second Chance round in Nyköping.
