Monasterevin Railway Station
Monasterevin (Mainistir Eimhín in Irish) (also Monasterevan) railway station is on the Dublin to Cork InterCity railway line. It is served mostly by commuter services to and from Heuston Station, Dublin. Until December 2017, there were no services on Sundays. It is situated just outside the town of Monasterevin, County Kildare. Monasterevin (), also Monasterevan, and Mevin is a town in County Kildare, Ireland. The town lies on the River Barrow and the Barrowline, a canal branch of the Grand Canal. The population was 4,246 at the 2016 Census. Location and Access Situated 63 km from Dublin on the R445 road, Monasterevin has been relieved of much through-traffic by the opening in 2004 of a section of the M7 motorway bypassing the town on the N7 Dublin to Limerick route. Commuter ( ga, Comaitéir) is a brand of suburban rail services operated by Iarnród Éireann in the Republic of Ireland, serving the cities of Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Galway. This brand is distinct from the longer distance InterCity brand, and Dublin's higher frequency DART brand. Most Commuter services share a track with InterCity services. Portarlington Railway Station
Portarlington station is a railway station on the Dublin-Cork Main Line. It is the branching-off/exchange point for services to Galway, Ballina, and Westport. The Galway/Mayo line diverges at the west end of the station via a single lead junction towards Athlone. The station is situated just outside Portarlington, County Laois, Ireland. Kildare Railway Station
Kildare railway station is a railway station on the Dublin to Cork Railway line and Dublin commuter service. It is also the changing-point for passengers to/from services to Waterford. It has three tracks, one for through services and two platforms. As the first major station on the south- and west-bound line from Heuston station, it is served, or at least passed-through, by a large number of trains. It is also used by timber trains and container trains travelling between Waterford and County Mayo to run round.
