Mollet Del Vallès
Mollet del Vallès () is a municipality in the ''comarca'' of the Vallès Oriental in Catalonia, Spain. It is situated in the valley of the Besòs river, and is an important communications hub from Barcelona towards the north: the AP-7 Motorway passes through the municipality, as do the RENFE railway lines to Vic and Puigcerdà and to Girona and Portbou. The town is also served by the C-17 highway (formerly N-152). Mollet del Vallès has a number of buildings in the ''modernista'' and ''noucentista'' styles. The studio-museum of the painter Abelló displays modern Catalan art. Shooting at the 1992 Summer Olympics was carried out in Mollet del Vallès; the range has been reused for the 1998 ISSF World Shooting Championships. PuigcerdÃ
Puigcerdà (; es, Puigcerdá) is the capital of the '' Catalan comarca'' of Cerdanya, in the province of Girona, Catalonia, northern Spain, near the Segre River and on the border with France (it abuts directly onto the French town of Bourg-Madame). History Puigcerdà is located near the site of a Ceretani settlement, which was incorporated into Roman territory. The Roman town was named Julia Libyca. Puigcerdà was founded in 1178 by King Alfonso I of Aragon, Count of Barcelona. In 1178 Puigcerdà replaced Hix as the capital of Cerdanya. Hix is now a village in the commune of Bourg-Madame, in the French part of Cerdagne. ISSF World Shooting Championships
The ISSF World Shooting Championships are governed by the International Shooting Sport Federation. World Shooting Championships began in 1897, after the successful 1896 Summer Olympics, and although the ISSF was not founded until 1907, these early competitions are still seen by the organization as the beginning of a continuous row of championships. By this logic, the 2006 competition in Zagreb was called the 49th ISSF World Shooting Championships. These championships, including all ISSF shooting events, are held every four years since 1954. The shooting competitions at the 1992 Summer Olympics took place at a shooting range complex in Mollet del Vallès outside Barcelona, Spain. Competitions were held in a total of thirteen events — seven men's events, four women's events, and two events open to both genders. It was the first time a woman (Zhang Shan in the skeet competition) took a gold medal in such an open event, and also the last time they were held. It was also the first games for 10 metre running target, which replaced 50 metre running target on the Olympic program, as well as the first games with the new targets in all rifle and pistol events except 50 metre pistol, leading to numerous automatic Olympic records. Noucentisme in Catalonia (, ''noucentista'' being its adjective) was a Catalan cultural movement of the early 20th century that originated largely as a reaction against Modernisme, both in art and ideology, and was, simultaneously, a perception of art almost opposite to that of avantgardists. In 1906, Eugeni d'Ors coined the term following the Italian tradition of naming styles after the centuries (for example, ''Quattrocento'', '' Cinquecento'', etc.) and using the homonyms ''nou'' (nine) and ''nou'' (new) to suggest it was a renovation movement. ''Modernisme'' (, Catalan for "modernism"), also known as Catalan modernism and Catalan art nouveau, is the historiographic denomination given to an art and literature movement associated with the search of a new entitlement of Catalan culture, one of the most predominant cultures within Spain.
