Originally scheduled to take place from 24 July to 9 August 2020, the Games were postponed to 23 July to 8 August 2021, because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Archery At The 2020 Summer Olympics – Mixed Team
The mixed team archery event was one of five archery events to take place at the 2020 Summer Olympics. It was held at Yumenoshima Park, with the ranking rounds taking place on 23 July and match play on 24 July. 16 teams competed in the knockout rounds, with the qualifying teams determined by the ranking rounds in which 29 different nations had at least one archer in each of the men's and women's divisions. Background This was a new event at the 2020 Games, in the first change to the archery programme since men's and women's team events were added in 1988. The mixed team event was first contested at a World Cup event in 2007. Crispin Natanie Duenas (born January 5, 1986) is a Filipino-Canadian recurve archer who represented Canada at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, and the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Crispin is one of Canada's top male archers with a successful international career as both a cadet and junior. He holds degrees in physics and education from the University of Toronto. 2021 Archery Final Olympic Qualification Tournament
The 2021 Archery Final Olympic Qualification Tournament was the final qualifying tournament for archers to qualify to the 2020 Summer Olympics at Tokyo, Japan. The tournament was held at the Stade Sébastien Charléty, Charlety Stadium in Paris, France from 18 to 21 June. Paris also hosted the 2021 Archery World Cup Stage 3 from 21 to 28 June after this tournament. The tournament only consisted of recurve events (no compound events) as used in the 2020 Summer Olympics- men and women's individual, and the men and women's team. The World Archery Federation (WA, also and formerly known as FITA from the French ''Fédération Internationale de Tir à l'Arc'') is the governing body of the sport of archery. It is based in Lausanne, Switzerland. It is composed of 156 national federations and other archery associations, and is recognised by the International Olympic Committee.
