Mohandas (2008 Film)
''Mohandas'' is a 2008 Hindi drama film directed by Mazhar Kamran based on a story by noted Hindi writer Uday Prakash. The film stars Sonali Kulkarni, Nakul Vaid, Sushant Singh, Uttam Halder, Sharbani Mukherjee and Aditya Srivastava and is produced by Abha Sonakia. ''Mohandas'' was released on 4 September 2009. Synopsis Born in a poor family, young Mohandas lands an important job at the 'Oriental Coal Mines'. Mazhar Kamran
Mazhar Kamran is an Indian film and documentary film director and cinematographer. Kamran graduated with a B.Tech. from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, but because of his love for films he chose film making as a profession. He started his career as a cinematographer in the 1998 Ram Gopal Varma film Satya. Kamran studied cinematography from Film and Television Institute of India. Osian's-Cinefan is one of Asia's leading film-festival devoted to Asian and Arab cinema, and is part of ''Osian's Film House Division''. The festival celebrated its 10th anniversary in July 2008. After a two-year break, the 12th staging of the festival took place in July 2012. History Cinefan began in 1999 as an outgrowth of ''Cinemaya'', a quarterly Asian cinema magazine published in New Delhi since 1988. The festival was launched with 27 films presented by the Network for the Promotion of Asian Cinema (NETPAC) and supported by the government of Delhi. Fribourg International Film Festival
The Fribourg International Film Festival (FIFF) is an annual film festival in Fribourg, Switzerland. It is focused on selected films from Asia, Africa and Latin America. The Grand Prize is the main award of the Fribourg International Film Festival. The Festival FIFF aims to promote the understanding between the cultures and more particularly between the so-called North and South. It gives preference to films that stimulate reflection and provoke discussion. Shoma Chatterji
Shoma A. Chatterji is an Indian film scholar, author and freelance journalist. She has been the recipient of a number of awards including the National Film Award for Best Film Critic in 1991 and the National Awards for Best Writing on Cinema for her study of the works of Aparna Sen in the publication, ''Parama and Other Outsiders: The Cinema of Aparna Sen'' (2002). Notably, she is the only woman to have won both the national awards. She is the author of several biographies including those on Pramathesh Barua, Ritwik Ghatak and Suchitra Sen. Govind Nihalani
Govind Nihalani (born 19 December 1940) is an Indian film director, cinematographer, screenwriter and producer, known for his works in Hindi cinema. He has been the recipient of six National Film Awards, and five Bollywood Filmfare Awards. In 1996, his script for ''Drohkaal'' was adapted by Kamal Haasan for its Tamil remake, '' Kuruthipunal'', which subsequently became India's official entry for the 68th Academy Awards Best Foreign Language Film category.
