Mohaather (horse)
Mohaather (foaled 26 April 2016) is a British Thoroughbred racehorse. He showed considerable promise as a juvenile in 2018 when he won two of his three races including the Horris Hill Stakes. In the following year he won the Greenham Stakes on his seasonal debut but then sustained an injury which restricted him to only one subsequent start that season. As a four-year-old he emerged as a top-class miler, taking the Summer Mile Stakes and the Sussex Stakes before injury ended his racing career. Background Mohaather is a dark bay horse with a white star (horse marking), star bred in England by Gaie Johnson Houghton. As a yearling (horse), yearling in 2017 he was consigned to the Tattersalls October Sale and was bought for 110,000 guinea (coin), guineas by Hamdan Al Maktoum's Shadwell Estate. Whitsbury is a village and civil parish in Hampshire, England, close to Fordingbridge. Whitsbury is a part of a group of villages on the edge of the Cranborne Chase and West Wiltshire Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Winged Love (foaled 15 April 1992, died 2015) is an Irish-bred, French-trained Thoroughbred racehorse and sire best known for his win in the 1995 Irish Derby. After winning one of his two races as a juvenile in 1994, the colt showed steady improvement in the early part of his three-year-old season, finishing second in his first two races before winning the Listed Prix de Suresnes. He finished a close third behind Celtic Swing in the Prix du Jockey Club before reversing the form to win the Irish Derby. He went on to finish fourth in the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes and third in the Prix Niel and was retired from racing at the end of the year. He has subsequently become a successful sire of National Hunt horses. Background Pleasantly Perfect was sired by Pleasant Colony, winner of the 1981 Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes. Chief Singer (19 March 1981 – 2000) was an Irish-bred British-trained Thoroughbred racehorse and sire. In a racing career which lasted from June 1983 until September 1984 he ran nine times and won four races. The colt won the Group Three Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot on his racecourse debut but ran disappointingly in his only other race as a two-year-old. As a three-year-old he finished second to El Gran Senor in the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket Racecourse and then completed a rare hat-trick of wins by taking the St. James's Palace Stakes at Ascot, the July Cup at Newmarket and the Sussex Stakes at Goodwood. The San Clemente Stakes is a Grade II American Thoroughbred horse race for three-year-old fillies over a distance of one mile on the turf course scheduled annually in late July or early August at Del Mar Racetrack in Del Mar, California. It is run at Newbury over a distance of 6 furlongs (1,207 metres), and it is scheduled to take place each year in September. Quiet Reflection (foaled 19 February 2013) is a retired British Thoroughbred racehorse. A specialist sprinter with a preference for soft ground, she showed very good form as a two-year-old in 2015 when she won three of her four races including the Harry Rosebery Stakes and the Cornwallis Stakes. In the following year she established herself as one of the best sprinters in Europe with wins in the Prix Sigy, Sandy Lane Stakes, Commonwealth Cup and Haydock Sprint Cup. All of her victories have come against male opposition. In November 2016 became the first three-year-old filly to be named Cartier Champion Sprinter.
