Earl () is a rank of the nobility in the United Kingdom. The title originates in the Old English word ''eorl'', meaning "a man of noble birth or rank". Mei Yaochen () (1002–1060) was a Chinese poet of the Song dynasty. He was one of the pioneers of the "new subjective" style of poetry which characterized Song poetry.Cihai: Page 1306. Mei Yaochen was born in Xuancheng in present-day Anhui Province. His style name was 'Sheng Yu' (). He passed the jinshi exam in 1051 and had a career in the civil service, but was unsuccessful. He was a prolific poet, with around 3000 works extant; he was popularized as a poet by the younger Ouyang Xiu. Most of his works are in the ''shi'' form, but they are much freer in content than those of the Tang dynasty. Mei Quong Tart
Quong Tart, now often (if anachronistically) known as Mei Quong Tart, was a prominent nineteenth century Sydney merchant from China. He was one of Sydney's most famous and well-loved personalities and made a significant impact on the social and political scene of Sydney at a time of strong anti-Chinese sentiment. Milagros Alicia Moy Alvarado (born October 17, 1975) is a volleyball player from Peru who twice represented her native country at the Summer Olympics: 1996 and 2000. She played as a wing spiker. Career Moy won with the Peruvian club Cristal Bancoper the silver medal in the 1995 South American Club Championship played in Medellin, Colombia. Moy played for the German team "Rote Raben Vilsbiburg" for the 2008/09 season. For the 2009-10 season, Moy played with Valeriano Alles Menorca Volei in the Spanish Superliga Femenina de Voleibol. Moy returned to play in the Peruvian League, signing with the Universidad César Vallejo club. She won the league championship with the club in that season and was awarded Most Valuable Player. Lexton de la Cruz Moy (, born 24 January 1985) is an American-Filipino sportsperson and former Philippines international footballer. He played as a midfielder and last played for Lam Ieng that competed in the Campeonato da 1ª Divisão do Futebol in Macau. Mei Lan (22 October 1894 – 8 August 1961), better known by his stage name Mei Lanfang, was a notable Peking opera artist in modern Chinese theater. Mei was known as "Queen of Peking Opera". The International Military Tribunal for the Far East (IMTFE), also known as the Tokyo Trial or the Tokyo War Crimes Tribunal, was a military trial convened on April 29, 1946 to try leaders of the Empire of Japan for crimes against peace, conventional war crimes, and crimes against humanity leading up to and during the Second World War. Mei Ju-ao (; 7 November 1904 – 23 April 1973) was a Chinese jurist, professor, politician and author. Education Mei was born in Nanchang, in eastern China's Jiangxi province. At the age of 12, Ju-ao was admitted into a school on the site of what is now Tsinghua University, moving from Nanchang to Beijing in pursuit of a good education. After graduating, he received financial assistance to study at Stanford University in California, graduating with a bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts in 1926. While there, he was elected a member of Phi Beta Kappa Society. Mei later received a doctorate in law (Juris Doctor) from the University of Chicago in 1928.
