Moderate Socialists' Party
Moderate Socialists ( fa, اجتماعیون اعتدالیون, Ejtemāʿīyūn-e eʿtedālīyūn) or simply Moderates Party ( fa, فرقه اعتدالیون), was a political party in Qajari Persia and one of the two major parties of the constitutional period alongside its parliamentary rival Social Democratic Party– Democrat Party. It was Iran's first right-wing political party. Members The party membership consisted largely of landowners, constitutionalist ulema and bazaaris. It espoused the traditional middle-class and landed aristocracy. Ali-Akbar Dehkhoda
Allameh Ali Akbar Dehkhodā ( fa, علی‌اکبر دهخدا; 1879–March 9, 1956) was a prominent Iranian linguist and lexicographer. He was the author of the Dehkhoda Dictionary, the most extensive dictionary of the Persian language published to date. Biography Dehkhoda was born in Tehran to parents from Qazvin. His father, Khan Baba Khan Ghazvini, died when he was only 9 years old. Dehkhoda excelled quickly in Persian literature, Arabic and French. He enrolled at the School of Political Science, which employed, amongst other figures, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and his Secretary as lecturers. He was also active in politics, and served in the Majles as a Member of Parliament from Kerman and Tehran. Abolqasem Naser Al-Molk
Abu’l-Qāsem Khān Qarāgozlu ( fa, ابوالقاسم‌خان قراقزلو), known by the title Nāṣer-al-molk ( fa, ناصرالملک, lit=Assistant of the Realm), (July 13, 1856 – 26 December 1927) was an Iranian politician who served as Regent, Prime and Finance Minister of Iran during the Qajar dynasty. Abdol-Hossein Farmanfarma
Prince Abdol-Hossein Farman Farma ( fa, عبدالحسین فرمانفرما 1857 – November, 1939) was one of the most prominent Qajar princes, and one of the most influential politicians of his time in Persia. He was born in Tehran to Prince Nosrat Dowleh Firouz in 1857, and died in November 1939 at the age of 82. He was the 16th grandson of the Qajar crown prince Abbas Mirza. Mohammad Vali Khan Tonekaboni
Mohammad-Vali Khan, Khalatbari Tonekāboni ( fa, محمدولی‌خان تنکابنی; 1846 – 18 September 1926), known as Sepahdar A'zam, was the leader of the constitutionalist revolutionary forces from Iran's Northern provinces of Gilan and Mazandaran and known as one of the greatest statesmen and military commanders of Persian history as well as its wealthiest nobleman. Sayyed Abdullah Behbahani
Seyyed Abdollah Behbahani ( fa, سیدعبدالله بهبهانی, 1840–1910) was a Shi'a theologian and a prominent leader of the constitutional movement. He was born in Najaf and was educated by scholars such as Morteza Ansari. During the constitutional movement he was influential in the Majlis. The middle class refers to a class of people in the middle of a social hierarchy, often defined by occupation, income, education, or social status.
