Mitchell Stephens (ice Hockey)
Mitchell Stephens (born February 5, 1997) is a Canadian professional ice hockey centre for the Laval Rocket in the American Hockey League (AHL) while under contract to the Montreal Canadiens of the National Hockey League (NHL). Stephens was selected by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the second round (33rd overall) of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. Stephens won back-to-back Stanley Cups with the Lightning in 2020 and 2021. Early life Stephens was born on February 5, 1997, in Peterborough, Ontario to parents Lee and Heather. He is the cousin of Owen Tippett of the Philadelphia Flyers. Playing career Amateur Growing up in Peterborough, Stephens played in the Peterborough Minor Hockey Council’s AAA Petes program before joining the Toronto Marlboros of the Greater Toronto Hockey League. Syracuse Crunch
The Syracuse Crunch are a professional ice hockey team in the American Hockey League (AHL). They play in Syracuse, New York, at the Upstate Medical University Arena. They are the primary development affiliate of the National Hockey League's Tampa Bay Lightning. History Vancouver and Pittsburgh affiliations (1994–2000) The franchise originated in 1992 as the Hamilton Canucks, which was an affiliate of the NHL's Vancouver Canucks. London Knights
The London Knights are a junior ice hockey team from London, Ontario, Canada, playing in the Ontario Hockey League, one of the leagues of the Canadian Hockey League. The Knights started out in 1965 as the London Nationals but changed to their current name in 1968. The Knights have won two Memorial Cup championships. Keaton Middleton (born February 10, 1998) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman who plays for the Colorado Eagles in the American Hockey League (AHL) while under contract to the Colorado Avalanche of the National Hockey League (NHL). CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game
The CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game is an annual event in which forty of the top NHL Entry Draft eligible prospects in the Canadian Hockey League play against each other in an all-star game environment. Players are able to boost their draft ranking with the National Hockey League scouts and general managers attending. Each team is led by a celebrity coach, usually Don Cherry and Bobby Orr. From 1992 to 1995 the event was known as the CHL All–Star Challenge, between the three constituent leagues of the CHL. In 1996, the Canadian Hockey League entered into a partnership with the National Hockey League to create a prospects game. Rosters for the event are chosen in conjunction with the NHL's central scouting and general managers. The 2014–15 OHL season was the 35th season of the Ontario Hockey League, in which twenty teams played 68 games each according to the regular season schedule, from September 24, 2014 to March 22, 2015. The Niagara IceDogs began play at their new arena, the Meridian Centre. The Ottawa 67's returned to TD Place Arena after a two-year hiatus due to a renovation. The 2014 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge was an ice hockey tournament held in Sydney, Nova Scotia, Sydney, North Sydney, Nova Scotia, North Sydney and Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia, Canada between December 29, 2013 and January 4, 2014.
