Mitch Kern (born 1965 New York City) is a photographer and educator who has been working in the field since the 1990Mitch Kern , Alberta University of the Arts He is an associate professor of photography at Alberta University of the Arts and has exhibited his work in various galleries and publications. His work explores the themes of identity, perception, emotion and communication through portraits of people and animals. The Alberta University of the Arts (AUArts) is a public art university located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The university is a co-educational institution that operates four academic schools. Birmingham Community Charter High School (formerly Birmingham High School) is a charter coeducational high school in the neighborhood/district of Lake Balboa in the San Fernando Valley section of Los Angeles, California, United States.
