Koichiro Mitani
is a retired Japanese judoka. Mitani is from Fukuyama, Hiroshima and began judo at the age of a first grader. He belonged to Japan Highway Public Corporation after graduation from Kinki University in 1991. Mitani was good at Ippon seoi nage, Osotogari and Uchi mata sukashi. In 1993, he won a gold medal at the Asian Championships held in Macau and at the East Asian Games held in Shanghai. He also participated in the All-Japan Championships 9 times from 1990 to 2000. After retirement, Mitani coached judo at Japan Highway Public Corporation and All-Japan Youth Team. Kōki Mitani
is a Japanese playwright, screenwriter, actor and film director and was previously married to Japanese actress Satomi Kobayashi. He was named after ''Taihō Kōki'', the youngest sumo wrestler to become yokozuna. He studied dramatics at Nihon University. In an attempt to add his own character to his movies, as a director he takes most of his scenes with a one-scene=one-shot system, moving the camera around as opposed to cutting. He claims this comes from his experience in theatre, where there are no cuts. is a retired Japanese badminton player who is a singles specialist from NTT East badminton club. She competed at the 2014 Asian Games. Mitani expressed her desire to retire after losing in the second round of 73rd All Japan Comprehensive Championships on 28 November 2019, and officially announced her retirement on the first day of 2019 S/J League on 20 December.
