Mist (1967 Film)
''Mist'' () is a 1967 black and white drama film directed by Kim Soo-yong about a businessman, Yun Gi-jun ( Sung-il Shin), who married into wealth and lives in Seoul, travels back to Mujin, his hometown. He embarks on a love affair with the local music teacher Ha In-suk (Yoon Jeong-hee) and starts questioning his life choices. The film won Best Director award at the 14th Asia-Pacific Film Festival. It was screened at the 28th Busan International Film Festival as part of 'Special screening' to honour late actress Yoon Jeong-hee on 6 October 2023. Kim Soo-yong (born September 23, 1929) is a South Korean film director. Kim made his debut in 1958 with ''A Henpecked Husband'' and directed more than 100 movies through 1999 with ''Scent of Love'' (2000). He made many popular commercial films of the past decades, such as ''Sad Story of Self Supporting Child'' (a.k.a. Sung-il Shin
Shin Seong-il (May 8, 1937 – November 4, 2018) was a South Korean actor, film director, producer, and former politician. A legendary actor with 500 films in over 40 years, Shin debuted in director Shin Sang-ok's 1960 film ''A Romantic Papa'' and rose to fame through popular youth titles. A star in the 1960s and 1970s, however, his status as one of Korea's top actors extended well into the 1980s. Biography Shin's last film was ''Door to the Night'' in 2013. Yoon Jeong-hee (; born July 30, 1944) is a South Korean actress active since 1967. Career Yoon was born in Gwangju, South Korea and debuted as an actress in 1967 by starring in ''Cheongchun Geukjang'' directed by Gang Dae-jin after being chosen in a recruit held by Hapdong Film. Yoon was commonly referred to as one of the "Troika" (three) of the 1960s, along with her rival actresses, Moon Hee and Nam Jeong-im. She came out of retirement in 2010 to star in Lee Chang-dong's film, ''Poetry (film), Poetry'', which won her the Los Angeles Film Critics Association Award for Best Actress and the Asia Pacific Screen Awards, Asia Pacific Screen Award for Best Performance by an Actress. Lee Nak-hoon
Lee Nak-hoon (March 27, 1936 – October 7, 1998) was a South Korean actor. Lee earned a fame for his characteristic and mature acting. Biography Lee Nak-hoon was born in Seoul, Korea in 1936. After graduation from Kyunggi High School in 1956, Lee studied Aesthetics at Seoul National University. When he finished his second year of the study, Lee went to the United States to history at Miami University. Lee starred in over 800 drama series, and 80 plays. Lee translated and introduced the popular US TV series, ''The Six Million Dollar Man'' and ''Columbo'' to the South Korean public. Lee also served as a member of the National Assembly from 1981 to 1985. Lee married Choe Yeong-bok (최영복) and had one son and daughter with her. Lee died of heart disease and diabetes in 1998. 22nd Busan International Film Festival
The 22nd Busan International Film Festival will be held from October 12 to October 21, 2017 at the Busan Cinema Center and hosted by Jang Dong-gun and Im Yoon-ah. The Korean Film Council (KOFIC) () is a state-supported, self-administered organization under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) of the Republic of Korea. History KOFIC was launched in 1973 as the Korean Motion Picture Promotion Corporation (KMPPC). It changed its name to Korean Film Commission in 1999, to be set up as a self-regulating body that could institute film policy without requiring the ratification of the Ministry of Culture.
