Miss Panamá 2012
Miss Panamá 2012 was the 46th Annual Miss Panamá pageant, held at the Riu Plaza Panamá Hotel in Ciudad de Panamá, Panama, on March 30, 2012. This was the second edition of the pageant under the management of Marisela Moreno, former Miss World Panama, the OMP (Miss Panama Organization) and broadcast live on Telemetro. About 12 contestants from all over Panamá competed for the prestigious crown. Miss Panamá 2011, Sheldry Sáez of Herrera and Irene Núñez of Veraguas crowned Stephanie Vander Werf of Panamá Centro and Maricely González of Bocas del Toro at the end of the event as the new Miss Panamá Universe and Miss Panamá World, respectively. Stephanie Miss Panamá Universe represented Panama in the 61st Miss Universe 2012 pageant held on December 19, 2012 at the Theatre for the Performing Arts at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. Stefanie De Roux
Stefanie de Roux Martin (born 5 August 1982) is a Panamanian model, TV host, and beauty pageant contestant. She is the winner of the 2002 Señorita Panamá pageant, and she competed in the Miss Universe 2003 pageant held in Panama City, Panama, where she was a semifinalist (Top 15). Early life De Roux's life in show business started at the age of 15 when she entered a charity fashion show to help cancer research. Soon after, she was approached by an agency and began modeling. She graduated in Corporate Communications at Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas, Texas. Stefanie is the current director of a model school. Miss Earth 2012
Miss Earth 2012, the 12th edition of the Miss Earth pageant, was held on November 24, 2012 at the Versailles Palace in Las Piñas, Philippines. Olga Álava of Ecuador crowned her successor Tereza Fajksová of the Czech Republic at the end of the event. The pageant was broadcast live internationally on Star World and was shown 25 November 2012 at 10:00 a.m. on ABS-CBN, with coverage on Studio 23, TFC-The Filipino Channel, and also on channels of participating counties worldwide. Miss Earth-Air went to Stephany Stefanowitz, a 23-year-old German-Filipino fashion designer and model from Quezon City, Philippines. Miss International 2012
Miss International 2012, the 52nd Miss International pageant, was held on October 21, 2012 at Okinawa Prefectural Budokan Arena Building in Okinawa, Japan. Fernanda Cornejo from Ecuador crowned her successor Ikumi Yoshimatsu from Japan at the end of the event. Yoshimatsu was dethroned shortly before the end of her reign, but she was not replaced.
