Mexicana Universal
Mexicana Universal is a national beauty pageant in Mexico held annually since 2018, replacing the former pageant, Nuestra Belleza México, held since 1994. Currently, the pageant is responsible for selecting the country’s delegates to Miss Universe, Miss International, Reina Hispanoamericana, Miss Charm International, and Nuestra Latinoamericana Universal. The current Mexicana Universal is Irma Miranda of Sonora, who will represent Mexico at Miss Universe 2022. The organization is directed by the nation's first Miss Universe titleholder, Lupita Jones (1991). Who originally produced the pageant as Nuestra Belleza México in association with the Televisa TV network. In october of 2017, the organization parted ways with Televisa, and found a new home for the pageant's broadcasting in rival network TV Azteca, rebranding the pageant due to televisa still owning the trademark, and changing the format. Miss Mexico Organization
Miss Mexico is a national Beauty pageant in Mexico. It is responsible for selecting the country's delegates to international beauty contests: Miss World, Mister World, and other minor international pageants such as Miss Supranational, Miss Grand International and Miss United Continents. In association with Telemax and Televisa, the Miss México pageant directed by Hugo Castellanos is one of biggest pageants in Mexico; 32 women from 31 states and Mexico D.F. compete for the title of Miss México or Miss World Mexico. The 2016 Miss México was crowned in the Teatro José María Morelos at Morelia, Michoacan, in September 2016. Since 2013, Miss Mexico pageant has been responsible to send delegates to Miss Supranational and Miss United Continents (before Miss American Continent), all of them from Jalisco. Mr World Mexico
Mr World Mexico refers to the pageant title given to the Mexican men chosen to represent Mexico at the international male beauty pageant Mister World. The nation has taken part in every edition of Mister World ever since its establishment in 1996, debut year in which Mexico's Gabriel Soto placed second (first runner-up) — the highest placement achieved by a Mexican contestant in that event to this day. As of 2016, the Miss Mexico Organization is in charge of making the selection of the country's delegate to Mister World, generally occurring every year the (usually biannual) global competition takes place.
