Miss Kathmandu is a beauty pageant that selects the representative for the Kathmandu Valley in the Miss Nepal pageant. The current titleholder is Prinsha Shrestha, who is the reigning Miss Nepal 2014, Miss Nepal Earth 2014. History Kathmandu Jaycess started the Miss Kathmandu pageant alongside Miss Nepal contest which was run by Girendra Man Rajbansi but after a year in 1995, he left the regional director position to Gopal Sundarlal Kakshapati who is also the chairman for Miss Nepal contest. Kathmandu Valley, Kathmandu is the most successful city ever to compete at Miss Nepal. It has had ten winners, more than any other regional state. Kathmandu is best known for its three consecutive winners with a consistent top 5 placements. Kathmandu Valley
The Kathmandu Valley ( ne, काठमाडौं उपत्यका; also known as the Nepal Valley or Nepa Valley ( ne, नेपाः उपत्यका, Nepal Bhasa: 𑐣𑐾𑐥𑐵𑑅 𑐐𑐵𑑅, नेपाः गाः)), is a bowl-shaped valley located in the Himalayan mountains in Nepal. Miss Earth 2012
Miss Earth 2012, the 12th edition of the Miss Earth pageant, was held on November 24, 2012 at the Versailles Palace in Las Piñas, Philippines. Olga Álava of Ecuador crowned her successor Tereza Fajksová of the Czech Republic at the end of the event. The pageant was broadcast live internationally on Star World and was shown 25 November 2012 at 10:00 a.m. on ABS-CBN, with coverage on Studio 23, TFC-The Filipino Channel, and also on channels of participating counties worldwide. Miss Earth-Air went to Stephany Stefanowitz, a 23-year-old German-Filipino fashion designer and model from Quezon City, Philippines. Miss Earth-Water went to Osmariel Villalobos, a 24-year-old broadcaster from Maracaibo, Venezuela. Miss Nepal 2003
Dabur Vatika Miss Nepal 2003, the 9th Miss Nepal beauty contest, was held on September 13, 2003, at the Birendra International Conference Convention Centre in Nepal. It was won by Priti Sitoula, of Kathmandu. The show was broadcast live by Nepal Television but suffered from minor technical glitches. The contestants were supported by fashion designer groups INIFD, NEFT, Lakhotia and others. The event differed from previous pageants in that it featured modifications of Nepal's traditional ethnic dresses. Designs from INIFD (International Institute of Fashion Design) were judged to be better than the dresses from competing designers. Namrata Shrestha hosted the show.
