Miss Earth México 2009
The Miss Earth México 2009, the eighth edition of the pageant, was held at the Yucatán Siglo XXI Convention Centre in Mérida, Yucatán, México on September 29, 2009. Thirty-two delegates competed for the national title, which was won by Natalia Quiñonez from Jalisco. Quiñonez was crowned by Miss Earth México 2008, Abigail Elizalde from Coahuila. Miss Earth México 2009 represented the country in the international Miss Earth 2009. Jalisco
Jalisco (, , ; Nahuatl: Xalixco), officially the Free and Sovereign State of Jalisco ( es, Estado Libre y Soberano de Jalisco ; Nahuatl: Tlahtohcayotl Xalixco), is one of the 31 states which, along with Mexico City, comprise the 32 Federal Entities of Mexico. Morelos
Morelos (), officially the Free and Sovereign State of Morelos ( es, Estado Libre y Soberano de Morelos), is one of the 32 states which comprise the Federal Entities of Mexico. It is divided into 36 municipalities and its capital city is Cuernavaca. Morelos is a landlocked state located in South Central Mexico. It is bordered by Mexico City to the north, and by the states of México to the northeast and northwest, Puebla to the east and Guerrero to the southwest. Morelos is the second-smallest state in the nation, just after Tlaxcala. Miss Earth México
Miss Earth México is an annual beauty pageant in Mexico. The winner of Miss Earth Mexico obtains the right to represent the country in the Miss Earth pageant, the third most important beauty festival in the world, where the goal is to promote environmental protection. History Miss Earth México, based in Mérida, Yucatán, is organized by the national director Paul Marsell. The pageant was established in order to elect Mexico's representative in the annual Miss Earth pageant and to promote environmental awareness and protection. Miss Earth Mexico was founded in 2002, but the first national contest was not held until 2007. Titleholders prior to 2007 were chosen by the organizers in a private selection process. Veracruz

Nayarit

Aguascalientes
