Miss America's Outstanding Teen 2016 was the 10th Miss America's Outstanding Teen pageant held at the Linda Chapin Theater in the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida on August 1, 2015. At the conclusion of the event, Olivia McMillan of Georgia crowned her successor Allie Nault of New Hampshire. The pageant was hosted by Miss America 2015 Kira Kazantsev and Greg Hutson. Miss America's Outstanding Teen State Pageants
Miss America's Outstanding Teen pageants select the representative for each state for the Miss America's Outstanding Teen pageant. Although Miss America state pageants used to run unofficial teen competitions, Miss America's Outstanding Teen was the first official teen pageant associated with the Miss America Organization and the first for which there was a national competition. The first national pageant was held in August 2005 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. As this is the teen version of the Miss America pageant, there has never been a swimwear component of the competition: contestants compete in interview, evening wear, active wear, and talent. The Miss California's Teen competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the U.S. state of California in the Miss America's Teen pageant. Olivia DeFrank of Los Angeles was crowned Miss California's Outstanding Teen on June 24, 2022 at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Fresno, California. She competed in the Miss America's Outstanding Teen 2023 pageant at the Hyatt Regency Dallas in Dallas, Texas on August 12, 2022 where she was in the Top 11 along being 1st runner-up for the Teens in Action award. In January of 2023, the official name of the pageant was changed from Miss California’s Outstanding Teen, to Miss California’s Teen, in accordance with the national pageant. Chandler is a city in Maricopa County, Arizona, United States, and a suburb in the Phoenix-Mesa-Chandler Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA). The Miss Alabama competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Alabama in the annual Miss America Competition.
