Mis-Teeq
Mis-Teeq were a British girl group, consisting of Alesha Dixon, Su-Elise Nash and Sabrina Washington. They had two top-ten albums and seven consecutive top-ten singles, with chart-topping success on the UK Singles Chart as well as across Europe, Asia, Australasia and the US. The group had originally been a quartet with Zena McNally who left in January 2001. The second line-up released their debut studio album ''Lickin' on Both Sides'' on 27 October 2001, which peaked at number three on the UK Albums Chart and was certified double platinum. The album featured the group's first five singles, all of which became UK Top 10 hits, including their debut single " Why?" with McNally and " All I Want". "Scandalous" is a song by British girl group Mis-Teeq. It was composed by band members Su-Elise Nash, Alesha Dixon, and Sabrina Washington along with frequent collaborators Hallgeir Rustan, Stargate (production team), Tor Erik Hermansen, and Stargate (production team), Mikkel Eriksen for their second studio album, ''Eye Candy (album), Eye Candy'' (2003), with production handled by the latter two under their production moniker Stargate (production team), StarGate. ''Eye Candy'' is the second and final studio album by British girl group Mis-Teeq. It was released by Telstar Records on 29 March 2003 in the United Kingdom. As with their previous album ''Lickin' on Both Sides'' (2001), the trio worked with producers StarGate, Ed Case, Mushtaq, and Rishi Rich on the majority of the album, but also consulted new collaborators such as Dave Kelly, Salaam Remi and singer Joe. Musically, ''Eye Candy'' took the band's sound further into the contemporary R&B genre, combining pop and soul music with heavy hip hop, garage and reggae elements. Upon release, the album receiced generally positive reviews. It debuted and peaked at number six on the UK Albums Chart and reached number 11 on the Scottish Albums Chart, eventually reaching gold status in the United Kingdom where its sales exceeded 100,000 units in April 2004. Alesha Dixon
Alesha Anjanette Dixon (born 7 October 1978) is an English singer, rapper, dancer, television personality, and author. She gained recognition in the early 2000s as a member of the R&B, garage and hip hop group Mis-Teeq. The group disbanded in 2005 and Dixon then pursued a music career as a solo artist, signing a recording contract with Polydor Records. She recorded her debut solo studio album, '' Fired Up'' in 2006, releasing her debut single "Lipstick", followed by " Knockdown", after which her popularity as a singer declined and she was subsequently dropped from Polydor. In 2007, Dixon won the fifth series of the BBC One dancing competition show ''Strictly Come Dancing''. Sabrina Washington
Sabrina Fredrica Washington (born 27 October 1978) is a British singer who originally rose to fame as the lead singer of garage/ R&B girl group Mis-Teeq. Whilst in Mis-Teeq, the singer notched up seven UK top 10 hits and two top 10, double platinum albums. As part of Mis-Teeq, Sabrina has sold over 12 million records worldwide. In the US, the group had had two top 5 hits on the US ''Billboard'' Dance Charts with "One Night Stand" peaking at No. 4 and " Scandalous" peaking at No. 2. ''Lickin' on Both Sides'' is the debut studio album by British R&B/UK garage group Mis-Teeq, released by Telstar Records on 29 October 2001. Su-Elise Nash
Su-Elise Michelle Nash (born 22 May 1981) is an English singer who rose to fame in the now-defunct girl group Mis-Teeq. Career Nash was born in Dulwich, London, and is of Jamaican and English descent, As a member of Mis-Teeq with Sabrina Washington and Alesha Dixon. Nash performed in various talents since she was a child, but had commenced a business degree at Middlesex University before becoming a member of Mis-Teeq. She has four sisters, Lisa, Chrystina, Helena and Savannah. After the departure of Mis-Teeq, Nash continued with her studies, earning teaching qualifications, and has opened her own performing arts school called the "Su-Elise Stage School" based in Gravesend, Kent. In September 2009 it was confirmed that during an interview at the MOBO Awards that Nash was working on her solo debut album entitled ''Long Way Round'', due to be released in 2010. "Why?" is the debut single by British girl group Mis-Teeq. It was written by Alan Glass, David Brant, Ronald St. Louis, and Maryann Morgan and produced by Brant for Vybrant Music. Tina Ann Barrett (born 16 September 1976) is an English singer and actress. Her major breakthrough came in 1999 when she became a member of the pop group, S Club 7. She has been a member of spin-off group S Club Allstars (previously "S Club 3") since 2014. UK Garage
UK garage, abbreviated as UKG, is a genre of electronic dance music which originated in England in the early to mid-1990s. The genre was most clearly inspired by garage house, but also incorporates elements from dance-pop, R&B, and jungle. It is defined by percussive, shuffled rhythms with syncopated hi-hats, cymbals, and snares, and may include either 4/4 house kick patterns or more irregular " 2-step" rhythms. Zena McNally (born 8 March 1979) is an English radio presenter and one of the original members of girl-group Mis-Teeq. She left in early 2001, just before the group had real chart success.
