Mire
A mire, peatland, or quagmire is a wetland area dominated by living peat-forming plants. Mires arise because of incomplete decomposition of organic matter, usually litter from vegetation, due to water-logging and subsequent anoxia. All types of mires share the common characteristic of being saturated with water, at least seasonally with actively forming peat, while having their own ecosystem. Like coral reefs, mires are unusual landforms that derive mostly from biological rather than physical processes, and can take on characteristic shapes and surface patterning. A quagmire is a floating (quaking) mire, bog, or any peatland being in a stage of hydrosere or hydrarch (hydroseral) succession, resulting in pond-filling yields underfoot. Ombrotrophic types of quagmire may be called quaking bog (quivering bog). Minerotrophic types can be named with the term quagfen. There are four types of mire: bog, fen, marsh and swamp. Merxat Yalkun ( ug, مېرشات يالقۇن; ; born July 20, 1991), known by the Chinese pet form Mi Re (), is an ethnic Uyghur Chinese actor and model who came into the acting scene as Zhang Yizhi in ''Cosmetology High'' (2014). Early life Merxat was born in Ürümqi, Xinjiang, on July 20, 1991. He aspired to act from an early age. He entered Shanghai Theatre Academy in 2010, majoring in acting, where he studied alongside Dilraba Dilmurat and Yuan Bingyan. Career Merxat began his career as a fashion model at age 22, when he entered the 2014 Asian Sportsman Contest and emerged as the top 10. He automatically retired from modeling. Mire De Juan Chatman (born October 24, 1978) is an American former professional basketball player. Standing at 1.87 m (6'2"), he played at the point guard position. He is a Texas Pan American University alumnus who as an American became the all-time leading scorer as for Americans and the all-time leader in performance index rating of any player as to the history of Eurocup Basketball. Hassan Ali Mire
Dr. Hassan Ali Mire ( so, Xasan Cali Mirreh; ar, حسن علي مير), also known as Hasaan ‘Ali Mirreh, was a Somali politician. During the early 1970s, he briefly served as the first Minister of Education of the Somali Democratic Republic. Mire later co-founded and chaired the Somali Salvation Democratic Front (SSDF). In 1998, he was also among the founders of the autonomous Puntland State of Somalia. Personal life Mire was born and raised in Somalia. He hails from the Majerteen sub-clan of the Darod clan. Sada Mire (born July 1976) (Somali: ''Sacda Mire'', Arabic: سعدة ميرة) is a Swedish-Somali archaeologist, art historian and presenter who currently serves as assistant professor at the faculty of archeology, Leiden University. She is a public intellectual and heritage activist who has argued that cultural heritage is a basic human need in her 2014 TEDxEuston talk. In 2017, Hay Festival of Literature and the Arts selected Mire as one of their 30 international thinkers and writers. She became the Director of Antiquities pf Somaliland in 2007. Plot The plot concerns the visit of a lieutenant, Sokolsky, to the house of Susanna Rothstein, the Jewish owner of a vodka distillery, to collect a debt owed to Sokolsky's married cousin Kryukov, but in fact which Sokolsky hopes that Kryukov will lend on to himself so he can marry his fiancée. Susanna entices the lieutenant to supper, then relieves him of the IOUs, but after spending the night with Sokolsky sends him back empty handed.
