Miniverse
''Miniverse'' is a documentary film that was released on the subscription video on demand service CuriosityStream, in partnership with production company Flight 33 Productions. ''Miniverse'' is hosted by former International Space Station Commander Colonel Chris Hadfield. The concept of the film is to bring the expanse of the Solar System down to the scale of the continental United States. In the film, Hadfield drives on a cross-country journey exploring planets and celestial bodies with a rotating passenger seat of famous astronomers, traveling from New York (state), New York to California. The film premiered on April 17, 2017. Graphics and scenes from ''Miniverse'' place the sun over Long Island, Mars over New York's Freedom Tower, and Jupiter over the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC. Curiosity Stream also know as (Curiosity Channel) is an American media company and subscription video streaming service that offers documentary programming including films, series, and TV shows. It was launched in 2015 by the founder of the Discovery Channel, John S. Hendricks. As of 2021, it was reported to have approximately 20 million subscribers worldwide across its direct and bundled platforms. Griffith Observatory
Griffith Observatory is an observatory in Los Angeles, California on the south-facing slope of Mount Hollywood in Griffith Park. It commands a view of the Los Angeles Basin including Downtown Los Angeles to the southeast, Hollywood to the south, and the Pacific Ocean to the southwest.
