The Ministry of Interior (MoI; Arabic: وزارة الداخلية) is one of the governmental bodies of Saudi Arabia responsible for national security, naturalization, immigration, and customs in Saudi Arabia. It was founded in 1926 by King Abdulaziz, but the organization was reformed in 1951 when the combined ministerial body covering financial and interior affairs were separated. The current minister of interior is Abdulaziz bin Saud Al Saud, who has been in office since 21 June 2017. Abdulaziz bin Saud Al Saud ( ar, عبد العزيز بن سعود آل سعود ''ʿAbd al ʿAzīz ibn Suʿūd Āl Suʿūd''; born 4 November 1983) is a Saudi royal who has been the minister of interior of Saudi Arabia since 21 June 2017. Early life and education Abdulaziz bin Saud is the eldest son of Saud bin Nayef, who is the eldest son of the former Crown Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz. His mother is Abeer bint Faisal bin Turki. He is a graduate of the Dhahran Ahliyyah School and King Saud University. Career After King Salman came to power, Abdulaziz was appointed as an adviser to the Royal Court in various departments, and later served as an adviser at the defense ministry. Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud ( ar, نايف بن عبد العزيز آل سعود, ''Nāyif ibn ‘Abd al ‘Azīz Āl Su‘ūd''; 1934 – 16 June 2012) was the crown prince of Saudi Arabia and deputy prime minister from October 2011 and the minister of interior from October 1975 until his death in June 2012. The CASA C-295 (now Airbus C295) is a medium tactical transport aircraft that was designed and initially manufactured by the Spanish aerospace company CASA. Work on what would become the C-295 was started during the 1990s as a derivative of the successful CASA/IPTN CN-235 transport aircraft.
