The Nepalese Ministry of Minister of Industry, Commerce and Supplies ( ne, उद्योग, वाणिज्य तथा आपूर्ति मन्त्रालय) is a governmental body of Nepal to monitor and manage industries of the country. One of the major sub departments is the Department of Industry, which is responsible for the implementation of rules and regulations made by the ministry. In 2018, under the second Oli cabinet, the portfolio of the ministry was enlarged and the portfolios of ''Commerce and Supplies'' was added to the then ''Ministry of Industry'', while the ''Ministry of Commerce'' was discontinued. Singha Durbar ( ne, सिंहदरवार, lit=Lion's Palace) is a palace in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. The palace complex lies in the centre of Kathmandu, to the north of the Babar Mahal and Thapathali Durbar and east of Bhadrakali Temple. This palace was built by Chandra Shumsher JBR in June 1908. The palace used to be one of the most exquisite and lavish of palaces in the world until the 1950s. Nepalgunj (), also spelled Nepalganj, is a Sub-Metropolitan City in Banke District, Nepal. It lies on the Terai plains near the southern border with Bahraich district in Uttar Pradesh, India. Nepal Bureau of Standards & Metrology (NBSM) is a department under the Ministry of Industry, Nepal. The department was established in 1976 based on the Industrial policy (1974) with an aim to regulate and improve the quality of industrial production. The initial name of the department was Nepal Institute of Standards (NIS). In 1981, with the promulgation of the Nepal Standards (Certification Mark) Act 2037 and Rules 2040 were, it was renamed into Nepal Bureau of Standards (NBS). Later, in 1986 the metrology section was added. In 1988 Department of Weights and Measures of Ministry of Finance was also merged with Nepal Bureau of Standards and was restructured into Nepal Bureau of Standards and Metrology.
