The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia ( Slovene: ''Ministrstvo za zunanje zadeve Republike Slovenije; MZZ'') is an executive department of the Government of Slovenia responsible for relations with other countries and international organisations, monitoring of the international political and economic situation, and strengthening of Slovenia's relations with other countries and international organisations. The ministry is located in the capital city of Ljubljana. The current Minister of Foreign Affairs, Tanja Fajon, has served since 1 June 2022. Since Slovenia declared independence in 1991, its Government of Slovenia, Governments have underscored their commitment in improving cooperation with neighbouring countries and to actively contribute to international efforts aimed at bringing stability to Southeast Europe. Anže Logar
Anže Logar (born 15 May 1976) is a Slovenian politician who was Minister of Foreign Affairs in the third Janša cabinet from March 2020 to June 2022. Logar served as the Director of the Government Communication Office in both Governments of Janez Janša, and served as the official spokesperson of the Slovenian Presidency of the Council of the European Union in 2008. In the presidential elections of October and November 2022, he was a candidate, but lost to Nataša Pirc Musar. Miro Cerar
Miroslav Cerar Jr. (, known as Miro Cerar ;) is a Slovenian law professor and politician. He was Prime Minister of Slovenia, leading the 12th Government. He served as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs in the 13th Government. He is a full professor at the Chair of Theory and Sociology of Law at the University of Ljubljana Faculty of Law. Cerar was born on 25 August 1963. Karl Viktor Erjavec (born 21 June 1960) is a Slovenian lawyer and politician who served in the government of Slovenia as Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2012 to 2018. He was the president of the Democratic Party of Pensioners of Slovenia, having held the position from 2005 to January 2020 and again from December 2020 until March 2021. Samuel Žbogar (born 5 March 1962) is a Slovenian diplomat and politician who is the EU Special Representative in North Macedonia. He served as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia from 2008 to 2012. He is currently acting Minister for Development Cooperation. Ivo Vajgl (born 3 March 1943) is a Slovenian politician and former Member of the European Parliament (MEP) from Slovenia. In his second term in the European Parliament he was a member of DeSUS and an individual member of the European Democratic Party (EDP), while in the European Parliament he was a member of the ALDE Group. Zoran Thaler (born ) is a Slovenian politician and businessman. He is a former Slovenian foreign minister and a former member of the European Parliament.
