The Ministry of Agrarian Development and Family Agriculture ( pt, Ministério do Desenvolvimento Agrário e Agricultura Familiar, abbreviated MDA) is a cabinet-level federal ministry in Brazil. The MDA was established in 1999 to oversee land reform in Brazil and promote sustainable practices. Michel Miguel Elias Temer Lulia (; born 23 September 1940) is a Brazilian politician, lawyer and writer who served as the 37th president of Brazil from 31 August 2016 to 31 December 2018. He took office after the impeachment and removal from office of his predecessor Dilma Rousseff.
