Minister For Local Government And Planning
The Minister for Local Government Empowerment and Planning ( gd, Ministear airson Cumhachd Riaghaltas Ionadail agus Dealbhaidh) is a junior ministerial post in the Scottish Government. As a result, the Minister does not attend the Government of the 5th Scottish Parliament, Scottish Cabinet.Scotland Act (1998)
''Only those appointed under Section 47 of the Scotland Act "attend" Cabinet. Junior ministers are appointed under Section 49 and may be "present".'' The minister supports the Cabinet Secretary for Social Justice, Housing and Local Government, who has overall responsible for the portfolio. The Minister for Local Government Empowerment and Planning is Joe FitzPatrick MSP, who was appointed on 29 March 2023.

Alex Salmond
Alexander Elliot Anderson Salmond (; born 31 December 1954) is a Scottish politician and economist who served as First Minister of Scotland from 2007 to 2014. Humza Haroon Yousaf (born 7 April 1985) is a Scottish politician serving as Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care since 2021. He is the first non-white and first Muslim cabinet minister in the Scottish Government. He served as the Minister for Local Government and Community Empowerment from 2014 to 2016, and as the Member of the Scottish Parliament (MSP) for Edinburgh Central from 2011 to 2016. Early life Biagi was born in Alexandria, West Dunbartonshire on 31 July 1982 to Mary and Antonio Biagi, a fish-and-chip shop owning Scots-Italian family.
