The Minister for Women is a Minister of the Crown, minister in the New South Wales Government with responsibility for women's issues in New South Wales, Australia. There had been a Women’s Co-ordination Unit and a Women’s Advisory Council since at least 1977 for which the Premier and later the Minister for Family and Community Services (New South Wales), Minister for Family and Community Services had been responsible. In 1993 in the Fahey–Armstrong ministry, third Fahey ministry these functions were brought together in a portfolio aimed at changing the portrayal of women, improving their status at home, at work and in the community, and reducing violence against women. Jodie Harrison
Jodie Elizabeth Harrison (born 1968) is an Australian politician who has represented the Charlestown Electorate in the New South Wales Legislative Assembly for the Labor Party since 25 October 2014, when she was elected in a by-election. Personal life Harrison was born in 1968 and is the eldest child of Clive Harrison and Elizabeth Denning. In 1973 her brother Todd Harrison was born. Harrison spent her formative years growing up in south-western suburbs of Sydney. Harrison moved to the Lake Macquarie region in the early 1990s after Harrison's parents bought a small business in Lake Macquarie. The Second Perrottet ministry or Second Perrottet–Toole ministry is the 99th ministry of the Government of New South Wales, and is led by Dominic Perrottet, the state's 46th Premier. The Liberal–National coalition ministry was formed on 21 December 2021 from a reshuffle, the first time since Perrottet and Paul Toole were elected as Liberal Party leader and National Party leader respectively in October 2021. The Parliament of New South Wales considers the reshuffled ministry to be a separate and new ministry from the previous Perrottet ministry before the reshuffle. The First Perrottet ministry or First Perrottet–Toole ministry is the 98th ministry of the Government of New South Wales, and is led by Dominic Perrottet, the state's 46th Premier. The Liberal–National coalition ministry was formed following the resignation of the previous Premier, Gladys Berejiklian and the election of Perrottet as leader of the Liberal Party on 5 October 2021. Stuart Ayres was elected as deputy party leader. Separate to the Liberal Party leadership election, the National Party also had its own leadership election on 6 October 2021, following the resignation of John Barilaro as party leader, who said it was "the right time for me to hand the reins over". Minister For Regional Youth (New South Wales)
The New South Wales Minister for Regional Youth is a minister in the New South Wales Government with responsibility for providing a whole-of-government approach to regional youth issues in New South Wales, Australia. It was first established in 1956 as the Minister for Child Welfare in the third ministry of Joe Cahill, with the principal responsibility being the care of neglected, orphaned and delinquent children through the Child welfare department. The department had existed since 1881 initially under the Colonial Secretary. The portfolio was held in conjunction with that of Social Welfare until 1973 when they were combined as the portfolio of Youth and Community Services. Youth Affairs were part of the responsibilities of the Minister for Education from 1988 until 1995 when a separate portfolio was re-created as the Minister Assisting the Premier on Youth Affairs. Minister For Mental Health (New South Wales)
The Minister for Mental Health is a minister in the New South Wales Government with responsibility for hospitals and health services in regional New South Wales, Australia. It was first established in 2005 in the First Iemma ministry as an assistant minister, before becoming a separate portfolio in 2011 in the O'Farrell ministry. The portfolio was not tasked with the management of a department. In the second Perrottet ministry since December 2021 it is one of four portfolios in the health sector working with the Minister for Health, Brad Hazzard. The O'Farrell ministry was the 93rd ministry of the Government of New South Wales, and was led by Barry O'Farrell, the state's 43rd Premier. The Liberal–National coalition ministry was formed following the defeat of the Keneally-led Labor government at the 2011 election. It was the first coalition ministry since the Greiner- Fahey-led coalition ministries of the late 1980s and early 1990s. The Keneally ministry is the 92nd ministry of the Government of New South Wales, and was led by the 42nd Premier Kristina Keneally. The ministry was formed following a caucus motion to elect a new Leader of the Australian Labor Party in New South Wales, where Keneally defeated her party colleague, the 41st Premier, Nathan Rees. Keneally led the first two-woman executive (Premier and Deputy Premier) in Australian history.
