Minchina Ota (1980 Film)
''Minchina Ota'' is a 1980 Indian Kannada language heist film directed by and starring Shankar Nag with his brother Anant Nag and Lokanath in pivotal roles. The supporting cast features Priya Tendulkar and Ramesh Bhat, who made his debut in the film. The film was a critical success and won multiple awards at the 1979–80 Karnataka State Film Awards including Second Best Film, Best Actor (Anant Nag) and Best Supporting Actor (Lokanath). It is seen as a milestone in the careers of the Nag brothers. It was remade in Hindi in 1983 by Shankar Nag himself as '' Lalach'' starring Vinod Mehra, Ranjit and Pran alongside Anant Nag with music by Bappi Lahiri. Shankar Nag
Shankar Nagarakatte (9 November 1954 – 30 September 1990) was an Indian actor, screenwriter, director, and producer known for his work in Kannada-language films and television. A popular cultural icon of Karnataka, Nag is often referred to as ''Karate King.'' He directed and acted in the teleserial, '' Malgudi Days'', based on novelist R. K. Narayan's short stories. Nag received the inaugural IFFI Best Actor Award (Male): Silver Peacock Award" at the 7th International Film Festival of India for his work in the film ''Ondanondu Kaladalli''. He co-wrote '' 22 June 1897'', a National award-winning Marathi film. He is the younger brother of actor Anant Nag. C. H. Loknath (14 August 1927 – 31 December 2018) was an Indian actor with more than 1000 Kannada plays and 650 films to his credit. Loknath is affectionately known as "Uncle Loknath" or "Uppinakayi" in the industry. His last performance was in a Star Suvarna Channel's TV series titled ''Priyadarshini''. Vani Jairam (born as Kalaivani on 30 November 1945), also credited as Vani Jayaram, is an Indian singer. She is best known as a playback singer in South Indian cinema.
