Moore County is a county located in the U.S. state of North Carolina. As of the 2020 census, its population was 99,727. Aberdeen Creek is a long 3rd order tributary to Drowning Creek (Lumber River), in Moore County, North Carolina. Pinehurst is a village in Moore County, North Carolina, United States. As of the 2010 census, the village population was 13,124. It is home of the historic Pinehurst Resort, a Golf resort, which has hosted multiple United States Open Championships in Golf. The topographic wetness index (TWI), also known as the compound topographic index (CTI), is a steady state wetness index. It is commonly used to quantify topographic control on hydrological processes.
