Michael McKee (politician)
Michael George McKee (born March 22, 1940) is a lawyer, judge, former Catholic priest, and former political figure in New Brunswick, Canada. He represented Moncton North in the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick from 1974 to 1993 as a Liberal member. Early years and priesthood He was born in Bouctouche, New Brunswick, the son of Killeen McKee and Juliette Michaud, and was educated at St. Thomas University, Holy Heart Seminary and the University of New Brunswick. McKee was a parish priest for five years in Moncton and was chaplain for the Dorchester Penitentiary for four years. He left the priesthood and married Winnifred Anne Shaw in 1982. Politics McKee was elected as a Liberal MLA for Moncton North in 1974 served in opposition until 1987. Michael Stuart McKee (born August 10, 1955) is the International Economics and Policy Correspondent for Bloomberg TV and Radio. Background McKee was born in Greenwich, CT. He graduated from Colorado State University and did graduate work in economics at Johns Hopkins University. He is the grandson of Joseph V. McKee, a former New York state assemblyman who served as acting Mayor of New York City. Career McKee joined Newsweek in 1980. He was hired by Conus Communications' All News Channel in 1984 and served as its congressional correspondent and later its White House correspondent during the presidencies of Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush. He began working at Bloomberg News in 1994 as White House correspondent during the Bill Clinton administration. In 2004, he was named economics editor for Bloomberg's radio and TV networks, and anchor of Bloomberg TV's ''Money & Politics'' program. Michael G. McKee (born June 18, 1969) is a Canadian businessman and former professional ice hockey defenceman. Early life and education McKee was born in Toronto, Ontario. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Princeton University and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School in 1999. Career McKee was drafted out of Princeton University by the Quebec Nordiques in the 1990 NHL Supplemental Draft. He played 48 games in the National Hockey League with the Nordiques in the 1993–94 season, scoring three goals and adding twelve assists including scoring his first goal against Wayne Gretzky. After retiring from professional hockey, McKee worked as a senior vice president at PTC and CFO of HighWired.com.
