Michael Hooper (bishop)
Michael Wrenford Hooper (born 2 May 1941) is a retired Anglican bishop in the Church of England. He was the suffragan Bishop of Ludlow from 2002 to 2009. Hooper was educated at the Crypt School in Gloucester and the University of Wales, Lampeter. He was ordained in 1966 and became a curate at St Mary Magdalene's Bridgnorth and was then, successively, priest in charge at Habberley; Rural Dean of Pontesbury, and then Leominster; and finally, before his ordination to the episcopate, the Archdeacon of Hereford The Archdeacon of Hereford is a senior ecclesiastical officer in the Church of England Diocese of Hereford. Michael Hooper (rugby Union)
Michael Kent Hooper (born 29 October 1991) is an Australian professional rugby union player who is captain of the Australia national team, the Wallabies. His playing position is openside flanker. Hooper is one of Australia's most-capped players of all time and currently plays for the New South Wales Waratahs in Super Rugby. Hooper has previously represented the Brumbies and Toyota Verblitz in his professional career. Early life Hooper was born on 29 October 1991 in Sydney, and played his junior rugby at the Manly Roos like other former Wallabies such as George Smith. Hooper represented Australia under 20 at the 2011 IRB Junior World Championship where he captained the side at times and was named International Player of the Tournament. Michael "Mike" H. Hooper (February 7, 1850 – December 1, 1917) was an American professional baseball player who played in three games for the Baltimore Marylands during the baseball season, his only playing time at the major league level. Previously he was an outfielder for the Maryland club at least 1868 to 1870, when he led the team in runs scored all three seasons. Maryland was one of the pioneer pro clubs when the National Association first permitted professional members in 1869. John Michael Mackenzie Hooper (23 April 1947 – 2 April 2010) was an English cricketer who played first-class and List A cricket for Surrey from 1967 to 1972. Mike Hooper was a champion schoolboy cricketer at Charterhouse, and played for English combined schools sides in 1964 and 1965. He was the leading scorer when an MCC Schools team toured South Africa in 1965–66. He began playing for Surrey in 1967. When Surrey won the Second Eleven Championship in 1968 he scored 805 runs at an average of 53.66, including 168 in an innings victory over Kent. In 10 matches in the County Championship that year, however, he scored only 164 runs at an average of 11.71.''Wisden'' 1969, p. 570.
