Mike Hill (golfer)
Michael Joseph Hill (born January 27, 1939) is an American professional golfer. Born in Jackson, Michigan, Hill attended Arizona State University in Tempe and turned professional in 1967. Hill had three PGA Tour wins and his best finish in a major was a tie for eleventh at the PGA Championship in 1974. Hill won 18 times on the Senior PGA Tour (now PGA Tour Champions) and topped the money list in 1991. He is the brother of PGA Tour player Dave Hill. Michael Arthur Hill (born 17 April 1949) is an English Anglican bishop. He was the Bishop of Bristol from 2003 until he retired effective 30 September 2017. Early life and education Hill was born on 17 April 1949, to Arthur and Hilda Hill. He was educated at Wilmslow County Grammar School, Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge and at Ridley Hall, Cambridge. Ordained ministry He was ordained a deacon at Petertide 1977 (26 June) and a priest the next Petertide (2 July 1978), both times by Donald Coggan, Archbishop of Canterbury, at Canterbury Cathedral. He served in the Florida House of Representatives from 2014 to 2016 and 2018 to 2020, representing the Pensacola area. James Michael Hill (born August 19, 1970, in The Bronx, New York) is an American television personality and talk show host currently with the Black News Channel and FOX Sports. Career Hill, who spent his childhood in both the Bronx and Bessemer, Alabama, enlisted as a reservist in the U.S. Air Force after graduation from high school. He began his career as a sports director at WDVM-TV, WHAG-TV in Hagerstown, Maryland, in early 1995. He got his first anchoring job later that year with KSEE-TV in Fresno, California. From 1997 to 2000, Hill spent time with WKRN-TV in Nashville, Tennessee, covering high school football and earning two Emmy Awards. Mike Hill is an American university sports administrator. He is the athletic director at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Career Before arriving in Charlotte, Hill was a member of the University of Florida athletics department for 25 years, where he started as a marketing coordinator in 1993 and eventually moved on to become the executive associate athletics director for external affairs. While at Florida, Hill was part of a search team that hired coaches such as Billy Donovan, Mike White and Jim McElwain. On February 28, 2018, Hill was named the athletics director at Charlotte, replacing Judy Rose, who had served at the post since 1990 before announcing her retirement in January 2018. Michael Anthony "Mike" Hill is an American mathematician known for his research in topology. He is a professor at the University of California, Los Angeles. Together with Michael J. Hopkins and Douglas Ravenel, he received the American Mathematical Society's Oswald Veblen Prize in Geometry in 2022 for the paper "On the nonexistence of elements of Kervaire invariant one." Education Hill's undergraduate degree is from Harvard University. He earned a PhD in mathematics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2006. His doctoral advisor was Michael J. Hopkins.
