Michael Joseph Hayes (1 December 1889 – 11 July 1976) was an Irish Fine Gael politician who served as Ceann Comhairle of Dáil Éireann from 1922 to 1932, Minister for Foreign Affairs from August 1922 to September 1922 and Minister for Education January 1922 to August 1922. He served as a Teachta Dála (TD) for the National University constituency from 1921 to 1933. He was a Senator from 1938 to 1965. Hayes was born in Dublin in 1889. He was educated at the Synge Street CBS and at University College Dublin (UCD). He later became a lecturer in French at the university. In 1913, he joined the Irish Volunteers and fought in Jacob's Factory during the Easter Rising in 1916. He escaped capture but was arrested in 1920 and interned at Ballykinlar, County Down. He was first elected to Dáil Éireann as a Sinn Féin TD for the National University constituency at the 1921 general election. At the 1922 general election he was elected as a Pro-Treaty Sinn Féin TD. Michael Joseph Hayes
Michael Joseph Hayes (1894 – 14 October 1918) was born in Youngstown, Ohio and was a student athlete at Colgate University and a First Lieutenant in the United States Army. He was killed in an attack on Saint-Juvin, France on 14 October 1918 and was posthumously awarded the Distinguished Service Cross. Colgate While at Colgate University, Hayes was a member of the football, hockey, and track teams. He lettered in football and track in 1916, and lettered in hockey from 1915–1917 while serving as two-time team captain. Hayes was also a member of the Delta Upsilon fraternity and the Skull and Scroll secret society. There is a plaque commemorating his service in the stairwell of Huntington Gymnasium. Michael Seitz (born March 29, 1959) is an American retired professional wrestler and former musician. Seitz is best known for leading The Fabulous Freebirds under the ring name Michael "P.S." ("Purely Sexy") Hayes and for his role as an announcer under the name "Handsome" Dok Hendrix in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). Michael Peter Hayes (20 June 1938 – 30 May 2003), known as Mickie Most, was an English record producer behind scores of hit singles for acts such as the Animals, Herman's Hermits, the Nashville Teens, Donovan, Lulu, Suzi Quatro, Hot Chocolate, Arrows, Racey, and the Jeff Beck Group, often issued on his own RAK Records label. He has also held executive positions at Codemasters and Nintendo UK and currently leads the digital and e-commerce division of Mercia Fund Management.
