Miguel Méndez (legal Scholar)
Miguel A. Méndez ( – May 25, 2017) was a professor of law at the UC Davis School of Law, University of California, Davis, School of Law (King Hall). Before joining the Davis faculty, he was the Adelbert H. Sweet Professor of Law at Stanford University Law School, where he was on the law faculty from 1977 to 2009. Before starting his teaching career, he was a legislative assistant to U.S. Senator Alan Cranston (D-CA), staff attorney with the Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund, deputy director of California Rural Legal Assistance and attorney with the Office of the Public Defender of Monterey County. He received an A.B. in international affairs and Latin American studies from George Washington University in 1965 and a Juris Doctor, J.D. from George Washington University Law School in 1968. Evidence for a proposition is what supports the proposition. It is usually understood as an indication that the proposition is truth, true. The exact definition and role of evidence vary across different fields. Mexican American Legal Defense And Education Fund
The Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF) is a national non-profit civil rights organization formed in 1968 by Jack Greenberg to protect the rights of Latinos in the United States."MALDEF" entry in ''Los Angeles A to Z: An Encyclopedia of the City and County'', by Leonard and Dale Pitt, published by UC Press in 1997. Leland Stanford Junior University, commonly referred to as Stanford University, is a private research university in Stanford, California, United States. California Rural Legal Assistance, Inc. (CRLA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit legal service organization created to help California's low-income individuals and communities. CRLA represents all types of individuals and communities, including farmworkers, disabled people, immigrant populations, school children, LGBT populations ( sexual minorities), seniors, and individuals with limited English proficiency. Alan Cranston
Alan MacGregor Cranston (June 19, 1914 – December 31, 2000) was an American politician and journalist who served as a United States Senate, United States Senator from California from 1969 to 1993, and as President of the Citizens for Global Solutions, World Federalist Association from 1949 to 1952. Born in Palo Alto, California, Cranston worked as a journalist after graduating from Stanford University. After serving as California State Controller, he was elected to the Senate in 1968. He served as the Senate Democratic Whip from 1977 to 1991. In 1984 Democratic Party presidential primaries, 1984, Cranston sought the Democratic presidential nomination, advocating a nuclear freeze during the later stages of the Cold War. He dropped out after the first set of primaries.
