Mieke de Boer (born 11 January 1980 in Maastricht, Limburg) is a former darts player from the Netherlands, who was nicknamed Bambie. Career In 2002 she won the Women's World Darts Trophy, beating Karin Krappen in the quarter-finals and then Francis Hoenselaar in the semi-finals before beating Crissy Manley in the final. She also won the British Open Ladies Singles the same year. A year later, de Boer was the youngest competitor at the BDO World Darts Championship in Frimley Green and reached the semi-finals, beating Linda Rogers-Pickett in the quarter-finals before her run was ended by Ladies World Champion Trina Gulliver. She returned to the Lakeside a year later but lost in the quarter-finals to Hoenselaar. Her last major tournament was the 2005 World Darts Trophy, losing in the quarter-finals to Karin Krappen. Mieke Eerkens is a Dutch-American writer. Her book, ''All Ships Follow Me''., was published by Picador (imprint) in 2019. Her work has been anthologized in W. W. Norton & Company’s ''Fakes'', edited by David Shields; ''Best Travel Writing 2011''; and Outpost 19’s ''A Book of Uncommon Prayer'', among others. She is a graduate of the University of Iowa’s MFA program in Nonfiction Writing. Early life and education Mieke Eerkens grew up in Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles, California in a Dutch immigrant family. She is the middle child of three, and attended Palisades Charter High School. Mieke Offeciers-Van De Wiele (born 12 August 1952 in Kruibeke) is a Belgian businesswoman. From 7 March 1992 to 5 September 1993, she was Belgium's Minister of Budget. Biography Mieke Offeciers has a law degree. She started her career at the engineering department of the VEV in 1975. Since 1986, she was head of the study department of the VEV, often lobbying against the shady financial flows between Flanders and Wallonia. Mieke Pullen née ''Hombergen'' (14 July 1957 – 28 January 2003) was a Dutch long-distance runner who competed mainly in marathon races. She ran thirty races over the distance in her career, winning races in Eindhoven Marathon, Eindhoven, Amsterdam Marathon, Amsterdam, Enschede Marathon, Enschede and Singapore Marathon, Singapore. She was a four-time Dutch champion over the distance. She was killed in a traffic accident while training in Haaren, North Brabant, Haaren, aged 45. Mieke Sterk
Mieke Sterk (born 5 January 1946) is a retired track and field athlete and politician from the Netherlands. She was part of the Dutch 4×100 m relay team that finished in fourth place at the 1968 Summer Olympics. Individually, she failed to reach the final in the 200 m event. Two years later she won a bronze medal in the pentathlon at the 1970 Universiade and finished fifth in the 60 m hurdles at the European Indoor Championships. Her personal bests were 11.6 seconds in the 100 m (1968) and 23.5 seconds in the 200 m (1973). Maria Agnes Henriëtte "Mieke" Andela-Baur (5 February 1923 – 2 January 2016) was a Dutch politician, she served as member of the House of Representatives for the Christian Democratic Appeal between 1976 and 1986.
