Midnight Rx
"Midnight Rx" is the sixth episode of the sixteenth season of the American animated television series ''The Simpsons''. It originally aired on the Fox network in the United States on January 16, 2005. The episode was written by Marc Wilmore and directed by Nancy Kruse. Plot Mr. Burns reserves the Springfield Air and Space Museum for a plant company party. While there, Burns acts strangely kind to all of his employees. At the end of the party, Burns announces that he will terminate the prescription drug plan. The workers chase after him, but Burns is able to escape in a wacky flying machine, based on the Pitts Sky Car. At home, the Simpsons try to figure out how they can afford new prescription drugs. Homer decides to get another job, but he can not have his choice of starring on ''Friends'' as Rachel's Irish cousin, and is unable to get a new job. Nancy Kruse
Nancy Kruse is a former animation director on ''The Simpsons''. She started working on the show during the first season as a background clean-up artist. After that she did background layout and character layout for several years on the show before becoming an assistant director. She began directing during season 10 and left the show at the end of season 21 with the season 22 holdover MoneyBART. She was also a story artist on the movie ''Zootopia'' and one of the head of story for 2021 Oscar winning movie ''Encanto''. ''The Simpsons'' is an American animated sitcom created by Matt Groening for the Fox Broadcasting Company. The series is a satirical depiction of American life, epitomized by the Simpson family, which consists of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie. Pitts Sky Car
The Pitts Sky Car was an unsuccessful aircraft designed for vertical take off, by inventor John W. Pitts of Detroit, Michigan. Pitts filed a United States Patent in 1924 for a propeller, "which will cause an immediate vertical lift of any aerial car to which the propeller is attached". This consisted of a "mushroom-shaped" rotor of 60 blades, each hinged at the root. An engine would rotate and reciprocate the propeller, causing the blades to close on the downstroke and open on the upstroke, which it was hoped would induce lift.
