Midlakes High School
Midlakes High School is the only high school (9-12) in the Phelps-Clifton Springs Central School District in Ontario County, New York. The high school services all of the town of Phelps and village of Clifton Springs, New York, Clifton Springs, and portions of the towns of Manchester, New York, Manchester, Seneca, New York, Seneca, Geneva (town), New York, Geneva, and Hopewell, New York, Hopewell, and it is attached to the Midlakes Middle School. The school has around 700 students at around 110 per graduating class. It offers six Advanced Placement courses: Calculus AB, Biology, US History, World History, Language, and Literature. The school's sports teams are called the "Screaming Eagles" with Black, Columbia Blue, and White Colors. They are in Section V. Athletically, the Boys Volleyball and Boys Track teams coached by Kyle Salisbury and Carl Spoto respectively have won recent sectional titles. Manchester, New York
Manchester is a town in Ontario County, New York, United States. The population was 9,406 at the 2020 census. The town was named after one of its villages, which in turn was named after the original Manchester in England. It was formed in 1822 from the town of Farmington. Hopewell is a town in Ontario County, New York, United States. The population was 3,841 at the 2020 census. The Town of Hopewell is in the north central part of the county, east of the City of Canandaigua. History ''Significant portions of this section is sourced from Conover, Chapter XXV.'' Advanced Placement (AP) is a program in the United States and Canada created by the College Board which offers college-level curricula and examinations to high school students. American colleges and universities may grant placement and course credit to students who obtain high scores on the examinations.
