The Michigan State Spartans men's soccer team represents Michigan State University in all men's Division I NCAA soccer competitions. They compete in the Big Ten Conference. The team has made nineteen appearances in the NCAA Men's Division I Soccer Tournament with the most recent coming in 2018 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Tournament. They won two co-national championships in 1967 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship, 1967 (with Saint Louis) and 1968 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship, 1968 (with Maryland) when led by Gene Kenney. Jay Chapman (soccer)
Jay Tyler Chapman (born January 1, 1994) is a Canadian professional soccer player who plays for USL Championship club Colorado Springs Switchbacks. Early career Chapman spent two years at TFC Academy, before leaving to play at Michigan State University. During his final year, Chapman was named as a First Team All-American, the first Spartan to achieve first team honours since 1970. Chapman was also a 2014 MAC Hermann Trophy semifinalist, and Big Ten Midfielder of the Year. In 2012, he signed with SC Toronto of the Canadian Soccer League, and made his debut on May 11, 2012, in a match against St. Catharines Wolves, and recorded his first goal for the club in a 5–0 victory. DeJuan Jones
DeJuan Lytelle Jones (born June 24, 1997) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a defender for Major League Soccer club New England Revolution and the United States national team. Early life Prior to playing collegiately at Michigan State University, Jones was a four-year letter winner in soccer at East Lansing High School. During his junior and senior seasons he led the Trojans to a combined 50–4 record en route to winning back-to-back State Championships. Alexander Skotarek (born April 2, 1949) is a retired German American soccer defender. He played in both Europe and the North American Soccer League during the 1970s and early 1980s. He also earned ten caps with the U.S. national team in 1975 and 1976. Player College Skotarek attended Michigan State University where he played on the men's soccer team. Ken Krolicki (born March 15, 1996) is a Japanese-American footballer who last plays for NPL Victoria side Bentleigh Greens. Personal life Krolicki was born in Tokyo, Japan, to a Polish-American father and a Japanese mother and holds both Japanese and American passports. Nick Krat ( ua, Микола (Нік) Крат; born February 24, 1943) is a retired Ukrainian-American soccer defender who played professionally in the National Soccer League of Chicago and the North American Soccer League. He earned fourteen caps with the United States men's national soccer team between 1968 and 1972. Gregory Janicki (born July 9, 1984) is an American association football, soccer player who last played for Detroit City FC in the National Premier Soccer League, NPSL. Arthur "Art" or "Buzz" Demling is a former U.S. soccer defender who played in the North American Soccer League and the Major Indoor Soccer League. He was a member of the U.S. soccer team at the 1972 Summer Olympics. He also earned four caps with the U.S. national team between 1973 and 1975. Zach Carroll (born March 16, 1994) is an American soccer player who plays as a defender for Las Vegas Lights in the USL Championship. Career Early career Carroll attended Grand Blanc High School where he was a member of the varsity soccer team, as well as the placekicker for the football team.
