Michelle Feldman (born April 19, 1976) is an American right-handed female professional Ten-pin bowling, ten-pin bowler and former member of the Professional Women's Bowling Association (PWBA). A native of Skaneateles (town), New York, Skaneateles, New York, she resides in nearby Auburn, New York. Career In her career, Feldman won 14 professional titles: 12 on the PWBA Tour and two more in the PBA Women's Series. She was named 2002 PWBA Player of the Year and was also honored as the ''Bowling Digest'' Bowler of the Year in 2002. On July 10, 1997, Feldman became the first female bowler to roll a Perfect game (bowling), 300 game on American national television. She accomplished the feat at the PWBA Southern Virginia Open at the age of 21. Skaneateles ( , ) is a town in Onondaga County, New York, United States. The population was 7,112 at the 2020 census. The name is from the Iroquois term for the adjacent ''Skaneateles'' Lake, which means "long lake." The town is on the western border of the county and includes a village, also named Skaneateles. Both the town and village are southwest of Syracuse. History The area was part of the former Central New York Military Tract. The town of Skaneateles was formed in 1830 from the town of Marcellus. Carmen Salvino (born November 23, 1933 in Chicago) is an active professional ten-pin bowler, inventor, author, ambassador, and a founding member of the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA). Known as "PBA's Original Showman", Salvino won 17 PBA Tour titles –- among them the 1962 PBA National Championship where he defeated fellow bowling legend Don Carter in the finals. He also won two PBA Senior Tour titles, including the 1984 Senior National Championship. In the sport of ten-pin bowling, there are many different ways in which to deliver (known as a "throw" or "roll") the bowling ball in order to advance it toward the pins in an accurate and powerful manner. Generally, there are three basic forms of 10-pin bowling. The most basic form is known as stroking, which is the most classic form. The most powerful form is known as cranking, which imparts great leverage and maximum rotation on the ball, but sacrifices accuracy. Ten-pin bowling is a type of bowling in which a bowler rolls a bowling ball down a wood or synthetic lane toward ten pins positioned evenly in four rows in an equilateral triangle.
