	Michael Sean Winters Michael Sean Winters is an American journalist and writer who covers politics and events in the Roman Catholic Church for the ''National Catholic Reporter'', where his blog "Distinctly Catholic" can be found. He is best known for playing uptight town selectman List of Gilmore Girls characters#Taylor Doose, Taylor Doose on the The WB Television Network, WB series ''Gilmore Girls'' (2000–2007). He played the role for all seven seasons of the comedy-drama and reprised it for the 2016 revival ''Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life''.
