Michael O'Shea (actor)
Michael O'Shea (born Edward Francis Michael Patrick Joseph O'Shea; March 17, 1906 – December 4, 1973) was known as an American actor who appeared in feature films and later in television and whose career spanned the 1940s, 1950s, and 1960s. Early life O'Shea was born in Hartford, Connecticut, of Irish descent. He wanted to follow his five brothers into the police force but was not tall enough. He dropped out of school at 12 and began his acting career in vaudeville by touring with boxing idol Jack Johnson's show. Henry Kaiser
Henry John Kaiser (May 9, 1882 – August 24, 1967) was an American industrialist who became known as the father of modern American shipbuilding. Prior to World War II, Kaiser was involved in the construction industry; his company was one of those that built the Hoover Dam. He established the Kaiser Shipyards, which built Liberty ships during World War II, after which he formed Kaiser Aluminum and Kaiser Steel. After working on radio and appearing on the Broadway stage, Nancy Coleman moved to Hollywood to work for Warner Bros. studios. International Pictures was an American film production company that existed in the 1940s. It merged with Universal Pictures to become Universal-International on October 1, 1946. History The company was formed in 1944. It was headed up by Leo Spitz, an executive at RKO, and William Goetz, vice president in charge for production 20th Century Fox. In October 1943, Goetz announced International would start off making four films with an overall budget of $4.2 million, the films including ''Belle of the Yukon'', ''The Woman in the Window (1944 film), The Woman in the Window'' and ''Casanova Brown''. In January 1944, International signed an agreement with RKO Pictures to provide four films for distribution. Carmen Miranda, (; born Maria do Carmo Miranda da Cunha, 9 February 1909 – 5 August 1955) was a Portuguese-born Brazilian samba singer, dancer, Broadway actress and film star who was active from the late 1920s onwards.
