Michael Harrington Nelson (1921–1990)Gay Novels of Britain, Ireland and the Commonwealth, 1881-1981: Drewey Wayne Gunn, McFarland, 2014, p. 111 was a British novelist best known for his 1958 gay novel ''A Room in Chelsea Square'', originally published anonymously. Early and personal life Born in 1921, Nelson was a journalist before the Second World War. He was a secretary to publisher John Lehmann during the war, and served as a captain in the Royal Army Service Corps. Nelson later owned a bookstore in Winchester where he lived with his then boyfriend. Nelson married Rachel Holland, who knew he was gay, and they remained married the rest of their lives. Nelson died in 1990. Writing Nelson's first novel ''Knock or Ring'' (1957), which drew from his own experiences, was about a "ring" of booksellers who conspired to fix auctions. Michael Joseph Nelson, known under the stage name Banners (styled as BANNΞRS), is an English musician from Liverpool, based in Liverpool. He released his debut studio album ''Where the Shadow Ends'' in 2019. History 2015–2018: Early EPs Nelson grew up singing in Liverpool Cathedral Choir and performed with the choir in various locations throughout Europe before deciding to start a solo career. In 2015, he relocated to Toronto, Ontario, Canada, from his native Liverpool, and contacted Canadian producer Stephen Kozmeniuk to work on his sound. Michael Nelson (born February 10, 1995) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a goalkeeper for FC Tulsa in the USL Championship. Career College & Youth Nelson attended and played soccer at Seven Lakes High School in Katy, Texas. He helped them win a district championship and was named first team all-state. He also helped his youth club, Albion Hurricanes FC, win 2 state championships. Career Youth & College Nelson played club soccer for Lonestar SC before signing a letter of intent to play college soccer at NC State University. Michael Nelson (born June 11, 1949) is an American political scientist, noted for his work on the Presidency and elections. He is a Fulmer Professor of Political Science at Rhodes College and a Senior Fellow at the University of Virginia’s Miller Center. Early life Nelson was born and raised in New Milford, New Jersey. He studied at the College of William and Mary and graduated in 1971 with a BA. Afterward, he received both his M.A. and Ph.D. in Political Science from Johns Hopkins University. Career Nelson was an Assistant Professor (1979-1984) and then Associate Professor (1984-1991) at Vanderbilt University.
