Michael Maples (born December 5, 1963) is an American professional stock car racing driver who competes full-time in the ARCA Menards Series and the ARCA Menards Series East, driving the No. 99 Chevrolet for Fast Track Racing, and part-time in the ARCA Menards Series West driving for the same team. Racing career Maples first began racing in 1993, driving asphalt late model races at Madera Speedway. Maples returned to racing in 2019, driving in an IMCA Southern Sport modified after taking a sabbatical that began in 1998 due to familial reasons. Maples also competed in series such as the Sooner Limited Modified Series, and the Touring Outlaw Modified Series from 2019 to 2023. In 2024, Maples participated in the pre-season test for the ARCA Menards Series at Daytona International Speedway, driving the No. 99 Chevrolet for Fast Track Racing, and placed 53rd in the overall results between the two testing days. Choctaw, Oklahoma
Choctaw is a city in Oklahoma County, Oklahoma, United States. It is the oldest chartered town in Oklahoma Territory. The city is located approximately 10 miles (16.1 km) east of Oklahoma City and is part of the Oklahoma City metropolitan area. Choctaw became a community in 1890, but was not given actual status as a town until 1893 when a territorial governor was appointed for Oklahoma. The ARCA Menards Series West, formerly the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West, NASCAR AutoZone West Series, NASCAR Winston West Series and NASCAR Camping World West Series, is a regional stock car racing series owned and operated by the Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA) and the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR). The series was first formed in 1954 as a proving ground for drivers from the western United States who could not travel to race in the more traditional stock car racing regions like North Carolina and the rest of the southern United States. The Dawn 150 is an ARCA Menards Series race held at Kansas Speedway. It is one of two races the series has at the track, the other being the Kansas Lottery 150 in September. The race was added to the schedule in 2020 after the cancellation of the race at Chicagoland Speedway due to COVID-19 regulations in Illinois. It then became a permanent race on the ARCA Menards Series schedule in 2021.
