Michael Kraus (soccer)
Michael Kraus (born September 10, 1984 in Memphis, Tennessee) is an American soccer former player and coach. In 2022 Kraus was hired to be the head coach of Grand Canyon Antelopes men's soccer, Grand Canyon University. Career College and Amateur Kraus played college soccer at Creighton University, where he was named the Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year in 2006, the same year he served as Creighton's team captain. He was named First-Team All-MVC in 2006 and Second-Team All-MVC in 2005. He was named MVC Offensive Player of the Week four times in his collegiate career. Michael "Mimi" Kraus (born 28 September 1983) is a former German handballer. He started his senior career at Frisch Auf Göppingen in 2002 before moving to TBV Lemgo in 2007 and to HSV Hamburg in 2010. After winning the EHF Champions League with Hamburg he returned to play for his hometown club. In 2019 he moved to TVB 1989 Stuttgart, with another move to SG BBM Bietigheim in 2019 until 2020. Michael Kraus (March 26, 1908 – November 16, 2003) was a Canadian entrepreneur and minister in the New Apostolic Church. Immigrant Mihail Krauss was the eldest son of a tavern-owning farmer in Meeburg, a village of 950 German-speaking Lutheran Saxons in the Transylvania region of Romania. According tCanadian immigration records in 1926, at age 18, he boarded the Canadian Pacific ship Minnedosa, and emigrated to Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. He often described his arrival saying, "I had only ten cents in my pocket, didn’t speak a word of English, didn’t know a soul; not even the dogs barked at me." In the 1930s, he worked in a furniture factory by day. After hours he built apartments, beginning a lifelong interest in real estate and construction.
