Michael Dixon (basketball)
Michael Andre Dixon Jr. (born December 1, 1990) is an American-born naturalized Georgian professional basketball player for Kolossos Rodou of the Greek Basket League. He is a 1.85 m (6 ft 1 in) tall combo guard. Following three years of college basketball at the University of Missouri, and one year at the University of Memphis, Dixon entered the 2014 NBA draft, but he was not selected in the draft's two rounds. He then went on to play professionally in Europe. In 2022, Dixon guided US Monastir to the Basketball Africa League (BAL) championship and was named the league's Most Valuable Player. Following his naturalization in 2016, Dixon has represented the Georgia national team and played with the country at EuroBasket 2017. Sir Michael Dixon (born 16 March 1956) is the principal of Green Templeton College at the University of Oxford and former director of the Natural History Museum, London. Early life Dixon was born on 16 March 1956. He was educated at Tiffin School, a boys grammar school in Kingston upon Thames. He studied at Imperial College London, graduating Bachelor of Science (BSc) and was awarded Associateship of the Royal College of Science (ARCS). Michael Dixon (born 21 November 1962), is a Scottish cross-country skier and biathlete. He has represented Great Britain at six Olympic Games in cross-country skiing and biathlon. He is only the seventh athlete from any country to have competed at six Winter Games and is one of fewer than fifty athletes to have competed in at least six Olympic Games. He is a former Royal Engineer in the British Armed Forces, reaching the rank of Staff Sergeant, and currently a Nordic skiing and biathlon coach.
