''Mi Historia en La Academia'' ''(My Story in The Academy)'' is the first release from Mexican singer Myriam. It is a compilation album released in December 2002 after winning the first season of the Mexican reality talent show ''La Academia''. Myriam Montemayor Cruz (born February 8, 1981, Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico), better known mononymously as Myriam, is a Mexican recording artist, known for winning the first season of Mexican talent show ''La Academia''. Biography Myriam grew up in a home with many brothers and sisters. Since she was a child, she dreamed of becoming a singer. Her musical career began in Monterrey with musical groups such as Obsesión, Conspiración, Ébano, Liberación and Compass. "Como la Flor" ("Like the Flower") is a song that was recorded by American singer Selena for her third studio album ''Entre a Mi Mundo'' (1992). It was written by A. B. Quintanilla and Pete Astudillo. The song was conceptualized in 1982 after A. B. saw a family selling illuminated plastic flowers at a concert in Sacramento, California. In 1992, an infectious melody stuck in A. B's head; he ran from the shower of their hotel room in Bryan, Texas, pulled out a keyboard, and immediately began working on it with Astudillo. It took A. B. 20 minutes to complete the music and took Astudillo another hour to complete the lyrics. Hernaldo Zúñiga (born June 2, 1955) is a Nicaraguan singer-songwriter. He was born in Managua, but spent his childhood and adolescence in Masaya. Career While he was studying in Chile, in 1973, Zúñiga recorded his first 45 rpm single with "Producciones Caracol", including as one side the David Gates' song "Everything I Own". At 17, during his first year of law school, he composed his first song, "Ventanillas" ("Little Windows"). ¿Cómo te va mi amor? (How is it going my love?) is a song written by Hernaldo Zúñiga, and first made famous by Mexican group Pandora. Background Pandora made their professional debut on 2 June 1985, on the TV program " Siempre en Domingo" (Always on Sunday), where they interpreted the song "¿Cómo te va mi amor?", from the Nicaraguan composer Hernaldo Zúñiga. Less than a week later their first production in LP format was released, simply titled "Pandora", which by October of the same year had gone gold. "¿Cómo te va mi amor?" was included in that debut album and defined the group's romantic style. The song was both the first single to be promoted by the group and their first international hit. Latin music (Portuguese and es, música latina) is a term used by the music industry as a catch-all category for various styles of music from Ibero-America (including Spain and Portugal) and the Latino United States inspired by Latin American, Spanish and Portuguese music genres, as well as music that is sung in either Spanish and/or Portuguese.
