Ettore Maria Fizzarotti
Ettore Maria Fizzarotti (1916–1985) was an Italian film director and screenwriter. Born in Naples, the son of the director Armando, he debuted as assistant director in the films of his father, and later collaborated with, among others, Vittorio Cottafavi and Raffaello Matarazzo. He made his directorial debut in 1964, with ''In ginocchio da te'', a musicarello with Gianni Morandi which was panned by critics but which got a large commercial success. The musicarello (; plural: musicarelli) is a film subgenre which emerged in Italy and which is characterised by the presence in main roles of young singers, already famous among their peers, and their new record album. In the films there are almost always tender and chaste love stories accompanied by the desire to have fun and dance without thoughts. Maria Bice Valori (13 May 1927 – 17 March 1980) was an Italian actress, comedian and television and radio personality. Life and career Born in Rome, Valori studied at the Silvio d’Amico Academy of Dramatic Arts, graduating in 1948. The same year, she entered the stage company of the Piccolo Teatro of Rome directed by Orazio Costa. Nino Taranto (28 August 1907 – 23 February 1986) was an Italian film actor. He appeared in more than 80 films between 1924 and 1971. Life and career Born in Naples, Taranto started his career as a child actor in 1918 starring in some local stage companies. After studying mime and dance he joined the company of Salvatore Cafiero. In 1928 he successfully entered into the sceneggiata genre: invited on tour in the United States, he returned with "a pianola tape and a thousand dollars", used to finance his first company of variety, which lasted only fifteen days and ended in total disaster.
